HI all

I haven't been in school in 10 yrs and back then this kinda thing didn't happen, at least to me.... What I am wondering is: Have you ever been in school and asked for more money than you needed? When applying for financial aid, I basically choose the "default setting" when asked how much I will need for Fall and spring semesters... Well, now I have some money, I know what I am doing with it, i.e., giving it back...... I am curious though, if anyone ever kept it? NOPE,

noone can have it....lol...

Are you kidding? I'm maxing out my loan... it's like free money! (that you have to repay after you graduate or something I don't know I didn't read the fine print)

I've known people who have done it all the time. Used the money for other things like cars and etc. But it is a loan that must be repaid. Technically the first loan payment doesn't have to be made until you graduate or drop out of college, but the loan will accumulate interest at that time.

Student loans have to be repaid no matter what. Even bankruptcy won't get you out of it. They will garnish all of your tax returns until it's repaid if you don't pay it.

Just be careful.

Ding, ding, ding, ding...... Yes, it is part of the loan that I took out, it happens to be what was left over after the funds were dispearsed, clearing my bill with the college.... Like I said, I am gonna give the money back, just wondering if anyone ever had this happen to them, and if so did they keep it.....lol....
