I'll post some measurements tomorrow if I remember to bring the mic home. If you think it'll work I'll mail it to you. By the way, Pearce makes grip extensions for the 10 round magazines. Doesn't add any capacity to the mag but gives the pinky a little something to sit on.

the grip with the stock 10 round mag is longer than any of the other pistols i have. my pinky hangs off of all of my guns. nothing new to me. and i need the compact size.

Ok mine is 1.138" long x .275". Not sure why it lists a seperate button for each frame.

If you still want it PM an address to send it to. You could come up with something like this.... http://www.pistolgear.com/p...etail.php?prod=26NVA Just drill and tap the end and make a button than can screw on. Kind of what I was planning to do

Hehehehe, "other" benefits? Looks like this one causes the number of eunuchs to go up! Thanks anyway but I wear my pistol on the outside of my pants or even in a shoulder holster.

Nope! I can't get myself interested in the 9mm! I want a .45ACP and the XD subcompact is not made in that cal. Yeah, I know, there is virtually no difference in rated "stopping power" between the two. You also know I have expressed my affinity for the old .45 before, hehehehe. As I have said, I never leave home without my trusty PT 111 Millennium Pro 9mm now. I just can't seem to make myself spend $500.00 for another 9mm! I actually have been looking at the Glock 30! A .45, 10 shot in 6.77 X 4.76 inches. capable of shooting the .45+P 185 gr JHP Cor-Bon at 1088 fps from that short barrel. Just for fun (my usual round) - 230 gr at 876 fps, too.
Sigh, a twist on the old saying, "So many guns, so little time!".

Yes, they do. Every pistol has it advantages and disadvantages. The Para shown here is nice BUT I will have nothing but a DA and in the .45ACP Carry gun their offering is only a 6+1 capacity. Oh, and with a MSRP of $1200.00, there are a LOT of "nice" pistols, For that kind of money, it won't do anything that the XD or the Glock will not do. So, why pay over twice the price. A Kimber or a Kahr or SIG are also "nice" guns at half the price. A Taurus 24/7 in .45 ACP is also a nice gun with virtually the same dimensions. For $1200.00, I can buy FOUR!

Well, I finally did it. I unloaded my Kimber .45 daily carry- it was getting to heavy to lug around and got something smaller and A LOT lighter. It is not an XD only because I got such an awesome deal on it. I picked up a HK USP Compact in 9mm, even came with a Blackhawk holster. I wouldn't call it a compact, it is larger than a compact XD or Glock, but sitll large enough that iti is comfortable in my hand. Haven't shot it yet, but looking forward to it, if it is shoots even close to the Kimber I'll be happy. Anyways, here is a quick picture, hopefully I'll be happy with it.

Hey good look with the match. Let me know how you like it. I've been looking into it off and on for awhile, just can't get around to it. Kinda like those NTFC meetings.
So you got the smart carry? You like it? How's the comfort on the "twig and berries"? I like the holster, just don't know if I could carry any pistol there without a manual safety.
Some how I missed a lot of this thread. Have you done anything with that button?

well i went to the USPSA event. i dont think it's what i'm looking for. so they suggested that i check out IDPA. the local IDPA club will have a meet next saturday, we'll see how it goes...
IDPA sounds like alot more fun to me, that's kinda where I've been going back and forth. I just really do not like the people at the range that they use for matches. I just need to get out there and put some bullets down range and see how it feels.
The mag button looks pretty good. Might be alittle tall depending on you holster. I've only had one accidental release with mine so far and that was while holstering. I really need to find a good CC holster now that summer is getting here. Still haven't found one that I just really like.

actually that is not screwed in. i bought an 4mm Allen bolt that had a shoulder on it. cut it down to the right length in the shoulder area. measured the diameter of the shoulder then put the release in a lathe and bored out one side to be 0.0005 smaller than the shoulder. being careful not to bore deep enough to make a hole where the angled part pushes against the release arm. and then pressed the bolt in.

this is a 1/3 scale IDPA target from 7 feet (well actually 9 feet so the pistol would be 7 feet away) so in theory, i should do about the same with a full sized target at 21 feet

81-100
That's a pretty good grouping for a plastic pistol........... especially a sub-compact
