Hey, Happy Birthday! I just celebrated my 21st on the 13th. As far as what to eat, I knew I ate something and I didnt get sick or anything but I just cant remember what I ate. I think the best advice would be like you said, stay away from greasy food. Have fun getting hammered.

If you are going to an Irish pub second eat lots of green foods. You will be the life of the party if you can throw up green in an Irish bar.

Taco Bell!!! Seriously, the grease will coat your stomach and keep you from absorbing the alcohol too quickly. It's also salty which should keep the electrolytes in balance from taking in so much fluid.

Party on!

Oh, and drink a BIG glass of water or Gatorade before going to sleep. Really makes a difference in the morning. Trust me.

Hey if that is true about the Taco Bell, that is sweet. I can eat Taco Bell everyday. That is good advice too, drinking water before you fall asleep will help with a hangover, I do this and have no hangovers.

I second the water suggestion. Drink water before going out, before bed, maybe sometime in between if you can slip it in. The better you stay hydrated, the less severe the hangover.

Have fun!

Already have My friend wasn't so smart a few weeks ago, underage drinking + Driving = him wrapping his dads beamer around a telephone pole... luckily neither him, nor the 2 other ppl in the car were seriously hurt. Never thought he'd be one of those dumb people who dont know when to call for a ride. Anywho, back onto the food topic, keep the ideas coming.. Im thinking a chicken burger might be ok, the bread would prob soak up some booze, and the chicken isn't really greasy.. Idk, ill play it by ear lol :P I just really dont wanna ralf in my friends car haha :P

Many have said to drink water before going to bed yes but you need to drink water before drinking too so hit the water in the afternoon. Hydration is key to no hangovers. Also DO NOT eat hot wings and drink (speaking from personal experience wont go into details) I say some protien and carbs before drinking. Sweets are not a very good idea either.

HOWTO: Drink Vodka Like a Russian

A few suggestions:
Do not mix drinks - pick something and stick with it. Wine + beer + liquor = projectile vomiting.
No cream drinks or anything with milk, ice cream, etc. in it.
Eat during the course of the evening.
Drink non-alcoholic beverages (preferably water) occasionally during the evening to stay hydrated. (if your friends give you grief, tell them this night is a marathon, not a sprint)

Have at least one friend who's willing to stop you from making a complete ass out of yourself rather than point an laugh. Don't spend your b-day in jail. There will be plenty of time to make those memories later.

In addition to the water before bed, take a Vitamin B (or multivitamin) supplement.

For breakfast the next morning, have a spicy Bloody Mary and a short beer.

Dude, it's your day - play it the way you want. Just some tips from the "been there, done that" crowd.

Get sick on creme drinks once. You will never do it again.

And if you don't have that one good friend with you - don't worry about jail or remembering any of it. The YouTube videos of your magic markered face with some dude's balls pressed to your forehead will be available for all to see.

Oh, and your new magazine subscription just arrived: http://www.moderndrunkardmagazine.com/
Don't forget the list of 40 things every modern drunkard should do before he dies.

And study up on The 86 Rules of Boozing
15. If you offer to buy a woman a drink and she accepts, she still might not like you.

17. If someone offers to buy you a drink, do not upgrade your liquor preference.
(You look like a gold-digging stripper if you're drinking Aristocrat and when offered a free drink step up to Boodles)

74. If you hesitate more than three seconds after the bartender looks at you, you do not deserve a drink.

75. Beer makes you mellow, champagne makes you silly, wine makes you dramatic, tequila makes you felonious.

Since tomorrow is your 21st b-day, you ARE going out tonight, right? At midnight you can start drinking. You've got from midnight to last call. You can get in a lot of drinking during that time, though.

I also find the water before bed thing works wonders. I try to get 1-2 beer glasses full in me when I get home.

But of course if you are with a lady you don't need that water sloshing around so wait for later. lol.

lots of colorful food.. strawberry wafer cookies, gatorade, crackeers, taco bell, hotdogs, kraft dinner.. then after you puke, you can make a game of trying to tell whats all over your shoes.

I never watched what I ate, I just went and enjoyed myself.. PS.. I used to be able to chug vodka straight.. used to love the taste of it, but havent had a drinkof anything in about 10+ years.

Have fun and dont drive!!

Straight vodka? Wuss! back in college i drank everclear on the rocks like it was water.. I had built up a pretty good tolerance ( one of the reasons i quit drinking.. and one of the reasons i no longer have a stomach lining in my 40s )

Better vodka really doesn't have a flavor of its own..
