BTW: Sorry Cliff. I would never have done that. I know what they're worth.

Don't make me take a pic of the coffee table, the end table by the recliner-or under the end table, or on top of the entertainment center.....Except for the picture of my father, it's all your stuff.

Been there....

My girlfriend and I have separate apartments due to the fact that she loves clutter and I don't. I love to come home after a tough day at work and find a clean, relaxing environment.
Still, one day I came home to find my inhereted ~250 years old 12 envelope crystal glassware in the dishwasher. When I asked her why, she said they looked a little dusty. I have them in a display and she have seen me dust them off with a soft cloth numerous times. Now they are all milky and ruined. The aprox value before dishwasher was €12.000
Normally she never vacuums, does dishes or any cleaning in my apartment.

Felt like Bruce Willis when his girlfriend forgot his watch in Pulp Fiction.
Still love her though.

Dang, I wish I could post a picture of a woman's clutter, not any particular one, any "normal" woman's clutter. Unless she's been in the military and learned the right way to pack a seabag or a trunk or a locker, she's got clutter all over the damn place. Even after they get trained, they want to slip back into that genetic clutter thing they have going on. They can't help themselves. Let's talk about shoes, no, let's not. That deserves it's own thread. I'll just say this, I refuse to add onto the house again or move so that we can have more closet space.

About 15 years ago, I collected Star Trek Model Kits. I got them from all over the world and some were pretty rare. Some of the less rare ones I built, others I left unopened in the box. Priorities and interests changed over the years, so I stored the kits I hadn't built yet in our basement.

A few weeks ago, my wife suddenly got the urge to clean our basement. Whenever she gets urges like that, I let her go ahead as long as she doesn't ask me to help (because I think the basement is fine the way it is). Today, she was done and all that was left to do was move a few boxes from the basement to the attic instead. So I climb up the attic and she hands me the boxes. With every box I ask her what's in it so I can properly store it. At one point she hands me a small box and I ask her what's in it. She says "Your Star Trek kits". I look at her in disbelief, since the box wasn't even large enough to hold one of my Star Trek kits. I open the box and to my dismay I see several small plastic bags with the kit parts in it. She then continues to tell me that she took everything out of the boxes and threw the boxes away so they wouldn't take up so much space...

Seriously, al these boxes together took less space than perhaps 1% of her shoe boxes...

Women... Can't live with them, can't keep their hands of your stuff.

Having lived with a few, her ass would have been in the street in 3 minutes flat, with a lawyer chasing it 4.

Mind ya, maybe thats why I've been thru a few wives

And bring it up whenever she asks for money to buy something. She can use some of the money she threw out to save space.

Spoken like a single man. Matrimonial harmony is worth a lot more then objects.

Not exactly....

Depending on the basement, moving them from an environment that's relatively cool and, hopefully dry (a damp basement could affect the decal sheets) to one that's hot and dry (potentially softening the polystyrene) is not necessarily a lateral move.
