I have been busy today. First thing this morning I took the drivers side seat out and took it across town to an upholstery shop. The bolster had a few small rips. But the rest of the factory leather is amazing.
The seat will be done tomorrow morning.
Then I took the car to the shop and started the tear down. It will be painted tomorrow and spend the weekend in the spray booth curing. I will bring it back on Monday. Then onto installing new quarter windows, full detail, and maybe some new tires.

Is there a reason you didn't remove all the side molding? It looks like you removed some. Just curious.
Edit: I love the painted antenna I don't blame you for leaving that though... braking that stalk off sucks the big one....
The reason we left the side molding on is I didn't want to break all the 20+ year old clips. If we were changing the body color, or doing a very expensive paint job I would have removed them.
And yes the antenna stay because I have broken almost every one I have taken off.
I am all done working my magic, please tell me what you think of the results. I have am pretty happy with how it came out. Considering we were on a very tight budget.
I started today by picking up the seat from the upholstery shop. It looks amazing, just like its 1988 again!
Then I installed brand new quarter windows and detailed the car. All completed it looks pretty sharp!!
You guys all rock!! Thanks, I had a stressful day today and then I read this thread and it made me smile.
I really enjoy fixing up cars. But I am lucky to have assembled a dream team and vendors and suppliers to help me along the way.
Don't worry pokey as I said I will be here for years to come. I have been doing this for 14 years I am not about to stop now. The west coast has been good to me, so any out of towners you might just want to plan a trip out to cali for a week or so, and drop the car off and grab a rental to tour the state, then come and pick up your car and head home.

Seriously? If yes, I may take you up on that in a year or so if you would do rust work on an E-150.

Well, I have to get the motor running first. I've put too much money into it to just sell it, so when I get the motor running (piston failed), and after I finish my semester of school, I would love to have all the rust fixed on the thing. Heck, maybe I could trailer my Fiero down there with it and when you work on one, I could drive the other (Fiero needs a face lift ) Actually, that would make one heck of a nice vacation next winter....

I finished the Ford a long time ago but forgot to update this thread. Once it was done it was very close to impossible to tell it was ever in any kind of accident.
Back to working on smashed cars. If anyone needs my services in the Sacramento area, let me know. I am accepting side projects again.
A client dropped off this 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee last week. It was sitting for sale at a new car lot, when someone stole it. They ended up getting chased by the police and crashed the Jeep into something. In the accident it broke the drivers side lower control arm and axel, leaving the Jeep undrivable.
Along with the suspension damage, it damaged the frame, front bumper, hood, grill, damaged the ac condenser, blew the airbags, and destroyed the radiator.
Here it is after I fixed the suspension, and repaired the frame.
Then it was onto the airbags. And annoyingly enough on this model Jeep the passenger airbag deploys through the dash board requiring you to replace the entire dash. So here are the photos of that.
And repaired like new.
Here is the front end now as I am test fitting the parts in prep for the paint. Should have this Jeep done by Monday.
