Guys. Can you just keep something like this between PMs? Seriously? You've both ruined two potentially good threads about paintballing and this supra because of all the bickering. It isn't going to get you anywhere.
Come on now.

I'll just leave this right here.

It's obvious you haven't driven a car that fast. I have, an 87, second gear pull up hill when boost finally arrives.

In before trashcan.... geeez, it's a regular ol' fragfest in here.....

I must say, I'm personally not a fan of the style of the car. It's just too... I dunno how to put it...... akward. The shapes don't align for my eyes..... I dunno.... must be 'cause it's an 80s car....

but I say if you like it, and you are proud of it, that's all that matters.

Oh, and Pontiackid? C'mon, let's please bring it down a bit. I've supported you in the past (I can find threads), but you are really kickin' the barrel over something so trivial. Just leave the guy alone, take your wounded and retreat. If you both would just simma down. let him enjoy his car, and turboguy, leave PK alone about the paintball stuffs.... Let us be gentlemen, here...

The 7M-GTE is rated at 230hp at 7psi

So a colder intake charge and 8 more psi equals 200ish more ponies? Dang

I know its crazy. I am guessing there is alot of tuning done. Either that or the boost gauge is wrong. Its a fairly new autometer. I am getting new gauges so I will be getting a new boost gauge and double check boost levels. And like I said. I dont know the compression ratio.

Not to take this thread on topic, but:
Nice car Has the head gasket been changed? If it does put out what you claim, a metal head gasket should be on there. There's two kinds of third gen supras: those who have had a blown head gasket, and those who will

This car has not yet blown a head gasket. When the rebuilt was done a multi-layer HKS gasket was used with ARP studs throughtout the motor.

Every autometer boost gauge I've ever had was inaccurate, I wouldn't trust it any further than you could throw it

With that much power, I sure hope you are going with some kind of tunable engine management or at least a good scanner

My bud David has a 92 TT, been running around at 12psi for a year with no tune and can't even scan. One of my old stock L67 swaps ate it for lunch

Best and first mod you should do

I just got it home last night in time to take pics and wipe it down a little bit and figure out what I am going to work on first. Its not even on the road legally until tomorow. But I just be enjoying it and taking it easy til the winter when I can go through everything and make sure everything is good. And I will have plenty of time over the winter to figure out what kind of engine management I want to use. Most likely megasquirt. I have been told they can control VG turbos. I would be able to keep my options open to other mods with megasquirt too. Havent fully decided yet though.

Nice find! I was always a fan of that body style supra. There's one of the later body style running around town here somewhere. The kid that has it drives like an idiot though...he should give his car to me instead...lol

And I hope winter doesn't come as early as it usually does up there for you. Esp. in Webster - I'd like to see you get more than a month of driving time out of it. The six plus months of winter is why i moved out of Rochester a few years ago.

Nice car

I've been sorely tempted to buy one of those recently, though it wasn't a turbo model. They are cool cars and Targa tops are awesome.

One of our Fieros was like that--just flat snake bit. I swear, if I even looked at it in the parking space, a mirror or something would fall off & I was so glad when one of Jane's relatives decided he couldn't live without having it.

Very nice looking Supra. I'm not a big fan of color matching wheels except on an Indy, but your's stand out for some reason. Enjoy it!!

They do ok in snow & ice--or will you garage it for the winter?

lol. I love the supra for cruising around with the roof off and just enjoy it. Its super heavy and handles ok. When I want to go show people whats up at the strip the DSM all the way. Nothing like an AWD launch. I love them both but for different purposes. They are completely different cars so cant compare them directly.
