I bought a KD Tools valve spring compressor today, KD 912, and the bottom of the package proudly proclaims 'MADE IN USA'

I open the tool, and stamped right in the middle, 'MADE IN TAIWAN' So apparently the package was made in the USA

I think I bought a holster that said made in USA on the outside, but a tag on the inside said made in Mexico. That was confusing.

Hello and what is really made in USA not much as most consumers would not pay for the extra cost, just how it is. Any way Taiwan is now very good, remember when Made In Japan was junk now its a sign of quality. Classic Capitalism isnt that what we stand for or supposed to anyway. Thanks Norm

Walmart shelves are full of items like that. You hit it on the head, they are packaged here in the states. I paid for a set of redwing boots because the package said they were made here in the states, got them home and the boots had a made in china label.
