I thought all my life it was just the way Alaska cops were, but here I am a stranger in a strange land, not even carrying all the nessisary items required to opporate a motor vehicle, and hauling azz in a rental van.
Is it all in how you present yourself, or just the luck of the draw (all my life)?

Its luck of the draw and other factors I believe.
I've been pulled over probably...I'd say at least a dozen times for speeding, etc. I've yet ot receive a ticket for a moving violation (well, I got one for rolling through a stop-sign, cop was an absolute a$$ too). I've never once admitted guilt, and there have been several times I've returned the officer's attitude right back (my wife was with me one of those times, she was sure I was gonn'a get arrested that time because the officer had such an attitude). Still never gotten a ticket. I'm not talking no 5mph over stuff, I've been pulled over for 80mph+ many times (around here limits are 65 or 70 in MI) and still nothing. I'm now in my late 20's soo I don't think older age had anything to do with it.
