OK guys, I am getting into some serious junkyarding in the next couple of weeks, and am hoping somebody knows the panel-swap potential of the different year/ model 4th gens...

I like the hood on the 95's (indented vent style)

Prefer the fenders of the 98

And as well need to do **SOMETHING** with the fascia as I would like to ditch the popups in favor of Camero-style quad flushmounts (looking for suggestions as to what year)

Anybody know what years/models are interchangeable bolt-on install on a 95?...I dont have the facilaties (or time) to get into a major body job so I need it to be a bolt-on adventure in modificaton

The 98 and later front ends can be mounted on the 93-97 chassis as long as the radiator support is also swapped. To ditch the pop up headlights, you'll need replicas of the '98 SLP firehawk.

You cannot use the 97 hood with the 98 and later front end as the fender lines are different. It's an all or nothing swap. Now if you find an appropriate 98 and later aftermarket custom hood, that is an option. The firehawk headlights never actually made production they were prototypes. There are some replicas floating around the net, but be prepared........ $2K for the set just to start, and that's IF you can find them.

You're probably going to be stuck with the 98 and later fenders, hood, front bumper, lights and radiator support. it's by far the most cost effective swap.

Ya know......there is NOTHING quite like having a project killed in the 1st 3 hours of the thinking about it stage

Thanx, man......Ya know, I asked the same thing on a couple other car forums and nobody even bothered saying `hi`about it.......

SSSooooooooooo....................

Anybody up for a car trade in Ontario??? ...95 bird with new top and electrical gremlins and bored owner needs something new to do.......Trade for a 25-year old car, or 25-year old hot brunette...They are both the same age, both cost the same, and both are nothing but problems.

sorry man..... being the administrator for F-body.com, I figured I could at least give you the correct low down on the swap. Didn't mean to be a buzz killer. LMAO about the 25 year old thing though.

Now, you could swap the rocker covers and front bumper cover from the TransAm of the same years. that is a rediculously easy swap.
