Well, Halloween is coming fast! Time to get my plans going!

For those of you who don't know, I am weird! :P I am a furry and a Fursuiter, (The first person who mentions CSI will be choked <_< ), so this time of year just gets me excited! I can publically walk around in fursuit without getting the stink eye from the haters to people just having fun.

First off, here is my Costume (AKA Fursuit), Custom built 100% by me, rough cost is $1000 in materials and ungodly amounts of time:

(Pictures taken by Dragonscales, at Anthrocon 2011)

First on the agenda is, during the rainy days this week, fix up my fursuit. From the last few times I worn it my shoulder pads on the undersuit have frayed a bit, so they need to be repaired and recovered. Once those are fixed, I need to make new teeth for the head, because one fell out and got lost. Ugh, I look like a hillbilly chimera now because of it. Also some wiring for the in suit cooling system needs repair, and the batteries need revised battery life, gets expensive to use Lithium Polymer 9v batteries for it! Then I should be ready for the biggest furry halloween party in CT!

Furfright is my first stop in CT, October 14th-16th, going to be partying with a bunch of other furs! 1500 to be exact because that is the limit! It will be fun! If you are in the Hartford area you should stop by, I would be easy to spot during the convention. However I bet most of you would look at me like I was an alien XP. Drinking, suiting, and just fun times at Furfright is expected.

Then after that, repairing the suit once more, since I am SURE I will mess it up somehow, and getting it ready for trick or treating locally. I will be wearing it and giving out candy to kids at my house, getting some of my other fursuiting friends up to join me in giving candy to kids while in suit, and also walking around at night, trying to entertain all the children and just giving everyone a good time!

Now that I have shared my plans, why don't you all share your own? I am sure some of you have interesting plans!

EDIT: I should probably do something to my fursuit too to make it more scary and less cute... any ideas? :P

Aww man, that is depressing! Maybe you can find an early halloween party or something, or throw one, so you can still celebrate?

I think so... Didn't a guy get killed by a bear or something like that? Ah heck, I haven't watched CSI in so long I'm probably thinking of something else.

My Halloween plans are same ol same ol. Work all day then come home and get the kids in their costumes. After that it's cuddle up on the couch with my wife and put on a movie while answering the door and handing out candy.

Looks like you will have a fun time.
This year, my son's going as Sonic The Hedgehog, and I will be a ghostbuster at our office party...

Last year, I dressed casually at work and when asked about the party, I said I had to work on a project, and then five minutes before the party, I ducked into my office and made myself up as a skull-lookin' dude (top image). Fun part was, it took awhile before they realized who I was...

The bottom was from a party we went to about a decade ago. We went as cats.

I'm not a 'furry', though.

Dang, that costume looks HOT.

At that Burlington meet it was 85 degrees out, we were outside for about 3-4 hours in suit. It gets from 80 in the suit, to 150 degrees in seconds. This is why I have a cooling system in the head, that has ducting over the head and out the ears, with two 40mm computer fans in the muzzle sucking air from the roof of the mouth. This way when I hold the mouth open (it opens and closes with my actual mouth) I get a blast of cool air. it feels oh so good...

And those costume pictures you posted are actually very good! Probably a lot cheaper than mine too xP.
