The El Camaro is a Holden. It was supposed to be the new El Camino but got scrapped during the GM bailout, I think. Too bad. I'm still stuck on the Eco Jet from 4 years ago.

Yes. I know about the new El Camino was scrapped, but this is a custom job. The car was originally a wrecked Camero.

FF5 make some nice cars, this one looks particularly good. Starting at 10K? If that was everything but wheels and a powertrain, I'd be willing. Probably only get you the hardware and instructions. A pre-fabbed chassis if you're lucky(but I doubt it).
Edit: Nevermind, you get everything except the running gear from a WRX. Pretty damned good for the price!

The 818 is the frame and exterior. You supply the power train and suspension from the donor. The 818 is referring to the weight of the car in kg.

madcurl --- Ya got me on the El Camaro. I thought it was the Holden project. Great job for someone to bring a wrecked car back to life and customize it that way. When I'm rich (it could happen), I want a modern El Camino made out of something.

MMMMmmmmMMMM. Mid-engined boxer goodness! Ever since I bought Silicoan86's WRX I've been in love with the exhaust rumble of these engines.
I wonder if that is the 2.0 or 2.5 and what kind of turbo(s)? And the gearbox?
Can I put it in a Fiero if I take out the trunk?
The body-less 818 donor was a twin turbo Subaru (rare from what the guy at FF5 said). The 818 with the body was the single turbo commonly found for that model. Although, the twin turbo looked nice and all it actually had less HP compared to the single turbo (I know what you're thinking-so was I). Anyway, the Subaru are 4-wheel drive, but FF5 capped off the part that would be used for the rear wheels. He didn't say how, but no doubt the kit will demonstrate the process.
The only downside I notice from the 818 kit was it was a roadster (without a top). They mention that it will eventually come with a removable hard top of some sort, but for now it's offered as a roadster. The sweet part is the price and FF5 reputation behind they're product. I do like the style of the 818, but the front and rear tail lights could have been better (but that's my personal taste). The sides looks sweet and so too the deck lid (similar to the Sky and Soltise). I do like the suspension and was wondering if some of those control arms could be used for Fiero application since it's a 5x100 set-up.
edit: Also the kit is a one-piece design thus like the GTM entire front or rear swings open for servicing. I forgot which part (front or rear and/or both). I asked but they were too busy with potential customers.

More detail pics of the 5x100 suspension. These was one of the reason why I wanted to attend SEMA this year. I needed to get a close up view of the details.
The frame is boxed between the passenger compartment and engine to prevent flexing

Wow...do you have any side shots of that 57?? (I'm guessing is WAS a 57 at some point...??)
I had a bagged 57 a while back...would not do it again unless it was just a show car.
Sorry but the angle of the car was working against me and the sun was at my back. If you notice they are reflections of people on the side of the car so I was unable to even take a picture because they're sitting down.
