Silas' prognosis hasn't changed...

They just found a new cancer type, more deadly than the other. They are still hoping and praying for something to come along, but they seem to have accepted that a cure is unlikely....

In the meantime, Archie, Silas' father is helping to raise money for Childhood Cancer Research with St. Baldrich by shaving his head...

He has a relatively meager goal of 500 dollars.... But every cent counts.

I have put him 1/5th of the way to his goal, and would love to see him reach it within the next three days....

If you have the means and are willing to help, it would mean the world to me.

I made a vow today....

If we hit the $500.00 goal on that page by Friday night (03/22/2013) at midnight Eastern, I will shave my head as well.

We do not believe Silas has much time left. Despite the radiation he had last week his belly has continued to grow and now has a new bulge on his left side.

We had hospice come out today and signed all of the papers. They checked his oxygen levels and they were low so they will bring out oxygen for him later today. They are also working on a pain plan for pain management.

Silas has been steadfast in his desire to go to Sea World in California. We have again moved up our dates and hope to go this weekend. Possibly as soon as Thursday. We do not know if he has enough time for this but this is what he wants and we want to try and make it happen.

No doubt at all though, if he doesn't make it to Sea World, he will NOT get to Heaven and say "Oh man, I missed out on Sea World!".

All expenses are covered, its just a matter of logistics. We are doing everything we can, working with Community Hospice, and Silas' doctors, to make this work. I think he may be holding out just for this trip.

We will not be able to see everyone while we are out there but hopefully there will be some time for visiting. Silas will probably not want to have a whole bunch of attention though. We will be staying with my parents in Gardena.

Please keep us all in your prayers. There are many tears being shed, knots in the stomach, and heart ache. We are held up by out Lord Jesus and we ask that you will pray for all of the details to be worked out, for our boys to be strengthened and encouraged.

Pray that Silas will not be in any pain and will have complete and perfect peace.

"Soon, Silas Edenfield will go to heaven. He will leave the earth with the crazy, innocent notion that one person can make a change.

The good news here? Silas will be right"

May the family find peace of his passing. This has to be extremely hard on them.
