Some you pry up at the base, a lot of foreign ones have a nut under a cover at the base. Others you lift, and use something like a knife or screwdriver to push the lock open, and they just lift off. Easiest way is buy them at Autozone or Advanced and they change them for you for free while you watch

On the wiper arms near the part where they attach to the post. The thing that makes them wipe. Well on the wiper arm part you will see a small hole. Windshield guys will have a special tool. I used my test light, bent the hell out of it, but you gotta stick something very rigid in there and pry towards the wiper blades. It's one of those magical holes...

I can pop the ones on my 86 no problem but the ones on momma's 87 wont budge. I need something harder that wont bend. Safelite glass guy had a specific tool and did it in seconds...

With or w/o holes like GM/Fiero has.

Ive never seen this one with holes in it. I used to have one of the tools like above to take off ones that just snap on. Now I just have a straight blade screwdriver that I bent the tip over a little bit. then i just lay a wooden paint paddle on the car cowl so i dont scratch it using the screwdriver as a pry bar resting on it.
