How so? The artist painted it in the image of every man he had ever seen. ("man" meaning both genders in this case).
It shows nothing.
Unless of course, you have it on personal line of sight authority that Adam and Eve did in fact have belly buttons.........or that God does not.

Original man was created from the earth, and Eve from man's rib. They had no womb to grow in, and therefore wouldn't have needed an umbilical cord, and in turn, a navel.

The flawed argument is that some artist several hundred years ago painted something that shouldn't be there, when he would have no frame of reference and probably didn't know much about anatomy...

well you have the man factor as stated by someone else earlier. if they can make the mistake of belly buttons on the first humans then what other mistakes are there? im not going one way or the other on if god is real or not i just dont know but the fact that some of the details are contradictory or that they can be disproven like in this case (its like the chicken and the egg only with belly buttons) it makes it almost impossible to figure out the truth. and when you have people that are hardcore into religion and cant even acknowledge the facts it doesnt lend much credibility to the cause.

See this is one of the things a really don’t understand about the so called good Christians, or am I mistaken?

My ratings went up by three, not sure if they were negs or positives but if they were negs why?

Why would you neg a guy for voicing his opinion and not trying to shove it up his ass? If they were positives that I can understand from some here, who may have had me as neutral.

I have never given anyone a neg for their ideas on religion good or bad. So be a man and say you did it or are you a coward?

Steve
