Sorry to hear about that. Was there a cause? Any sport injuries or other?

I was going to ask about symptoms, but since you had an MRI done, I'm guessing there were/are some.
I do hope it's nothing serious.

Good thoughts and prayers...

Even with my wife's doctors and nurses trying to explain the images to me, I've never been able to look at them and make any sense of em.

Whatever is wrong I hope it's fixable man.

if it's a tumor, it's very likely it's treatable.

(before and after treatment - 2 months)

Hope if it IS one, it's benign and the only one.

While Mri's and scans can be a great diagnostic tool they also give a lot of false positives, sometimes causing unesessary surgery. Might be nothing at all.

I had foot surgery 3 years ago to separate two bones that were partially connected from birth that started to rub. Last year my foot started to hurt again and the doc said the bones are fusing back together. 3 months ago I started wearing a brace that limits the motion of the foot. Shortly after that I started getting pins and needles in my right thigh and increased charley horses in my right calf. My doctor was perplexed. For the past 3 months I've tried many things and visited a couple doctors, the last one was a neurologist and thought it was a result of driving for a living and the seatbelt pinching a nerve. He ordered the mri and here I am.

From what I've seen online, if you have a small single tumor, the treatment is non-invasive, and clears up after 6 months or less... But then you need to be re-examined every 6 months /once a year.

It took them more that three years to find my little friend (I had daily pain (sometimes quite debilitating)it was wrapped around some stuff and tugging. It was a limpoma, so they don't need to keep checking me. I WOULD like to have a full-body MRI done, though...

I hope they determine that your condition is treatable, and that you can fully recover.

Had a full spine mri. Docs have gone for the day. First thing in the morning I'll get a spinal tap with the help from an xray.

Results for the spinal tap won't come in for a few days so they sent me home. I have surgery scheduled for Friday. There's a slight chance it's just an inflammation and I won't need to get cut open but it's slim.
I did ask them to crank it to 11 and got a few laughs from the techs.

My brother-in-law had issues like yours that they traced back to his vertebrae. He just had surgery a couple of weeks ago and now he's feeling pretty good. Good luck to you.

If they DO determine it's a tumor, please investigate any non-surgery options they might have available- that pic I posted above is from a guy who had a similiar-looking scan, and I believe they treated it without cutting him open (he had a lot of other issues, though, and even though the one on his spine went away, there were others which were more serious...)

Not sure what treatment they did, (on a BB right now)

Good Luck

I hope things are going ok -

I'm hoping you had some chats w/ your docs regarding treatment options

This REALLY bothers me:

"No reply from docs so it's not an infection. Surgery @ 2pm."
