It takes a lot of effort to get that mindset..The government gave me gun and trained me to kill, and its still not in me..I have guys I call friends that I've have bought a bible for, a koran for, even a book of morman for--because its important to THEM, and they value it. All I ask in return, is dont impose the beliefs on me, I'll give ya 100% support--but I wont convert.

Some of us are born that way naturally and don't need training.

I could show a billion examples of one group demonizing another to facilitate their killing and/or abuse. From slavery to recruitment posters. It seems it starts with convincing ourselves that they are animals, not human.
But what really haunts me is the knowledge that at the Battle of Saipan during World War II, 1,000 men, women, & children jumped off the cliffs there when U.S. forces landed, because the Japanese had convinced them that Americans eat their prisoners. The propaganda posters of our G.I.'s were shown as sharptoothed crazy-eyed demons bayonetting babies. And that's how easy it is.
Hate is the fuel that evil runs on. Just ask Hitler, KKK, Pol Pot, etc, etc, etc.
The only proof hate requires is itself.

He asked me if hate is a bad thing. Since no frame of reference was defined in the question, I started with the basics. I asked what does the Bible say about hate. And since I don't know what the Bible sez about hate, I asked.
I offered no suggestion or answer. I asked a question.
Reading Comprehension.
Do you consider the Bible a "basic" source for what's good and bad? If you do, why would you consider it a basic source since you just said you don't know what the Bible says about the question you were using it to respond to? If you don't, why would you offer a source your don't believe is a proper source?
I'm just trying to understand where you're coming from and what you're really saying. God forbid I take your words at face value.

1. Do you consider the Bible a "basic" source for what's good and bad? 2. If you do, why would you consider it a basic source since you just said you don't know what the Bible says about the question you were using it to respond to? 3. If you don't, why would you offer a source your don't believe is a proper source? 4. I'm just trying to understand where you're coming from and what you're really saying. 5. God forbid I take your words at face value.
1. Some do & believe this country was built on it. 2. See above 3. See above 4. Listen, in my opinion, you have never been interested in "trying to understand" what I think or have to say on any subject, at least no farther then the delight you seem to garner in criticizing my every word, every idea, be it weather in it's form OR function. You are not interested in the free exchange of ideas or opinions with me. You don't like or agree with ANYTHING I have ever said, but yet you still find it necessary to read my words. I can't recall once where you have been the least bit personable in any response you've had to anything I write, even when not directed to you. You seem to thrive at picking at me at every opportunity. I stay out of ANY thread you start, because of it.
This mode of interaction you choose is well within your rights at Pennocks, but I don't have to play along with it. You are as interested in "understanding me" as I am in you achieving that goal.
5. Why "take" my words at all? I am not interested in you "having" them, you have shown that you don't "want" them, so what was the point, again? Silliness.

You left out a big hate group the Black Panthers they are no better than the KKK so do not leave them out. Children and women jumped off Cliffs in Alaska to escape the Russians. The Spaniards killed hundreds of thousands in South America. Point is we all have been hated or slaves at one time.

Hate 1. transitive verb dislike somebody or something intensely: to dislike somebody or something intensely, often in a way that evokes feelings of anger, hostility, or animosity 2. transitive and intransitive verb have strong distaste for something: to have strong distaste or aversion for something, somebody, or something that has to be done "I hate to say it, but I know we're going to lose." "Some people seem to have been born to hate." NOUN hates plural 1. feeling of intense hostility: a feeling of intense hostility toward somebody or something "You could see the hate in his eyes."
But how can you hate something that hasn't been proven to exist?
Well, if you hate god you must believe so I guess you could call it a religion. However, I do suspect that in some cases "hate" and "disbelieve" have the same meaning. Sort of like god shot your pa or something. I dunno.
However2, it's not god that many don't believe, it's people. They take that stuff real personal like and call people haters.

It was more of a sarcastic statement.. Guess i failed

The "proof" for those that "dont believe" is the effort they put into attempting to disprove the existance of God (hate). Off topic in this thread but even the stupidity of "darwinisym" and the "big bang" they cant say where that ball of mass came from. Their is the proof they hate to accept.
