Anyone else having trouble posting pix through PIP today? (running v1.09) Never had any problems before.

PIP has not worked for me for quite a while. I finally gave up. There was a thread about problems last year, but even after following advice I could not post pictures.

DNS problems again I suspect.

Like in the other 1/2 dozen threads lately, I stopped using it years ago. Photo website I use works just fine.

I couldn't post one yesterday either. Sometimes posted images go missing for periods of time too.

It's down.
I tried 17 times today.

servers up and working..


I can see all the images when logging into the server.

Going to go look for a image that was posted with pip

Yup, was timing out for me too last night night. V1.09 I finally gave up and used tinypic

Looks like a server misconfiguration. Working with Jason to solve the problem.

Same here --- connection timed out.

Yup 90% of the time, I get "timed out" mostly don't try anymore. Would be cool if it works again though

I had problems....I just use picture trail...like photo bucket....and paste the link that way in the forum

If a server has/had DNS issues can take minute to a day for all DNS machines to update for current info.
You can try using Google DNS or OpenDNS.
Just change local DNS to:
OpenDNS
208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220
www.opendns.com

Google DNS
8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4
http://code.google.com/speed/public-dns/

You might need to clear local DNS caches too.
Windows means:
CMD command box
ipconfig /flushdns

There must be quite an issue with PIP this time around for it still to be unable to allow uploads.

tried ipconfig /flushdns per ogre, still times out.

Had a firewall issue and looks like it was a config issue remaining from that. I installed PIP and tested it.

Anyone having issues reaching my server, try going to myfiero.com and let me know if you can get it, and also send me your ip. (whatismyip.com)

PIP was a no-go.

I went to myfiero.com and I uploaded an image... although I have no idea where it went or what happened to it.

Tried again this morning and it still isn't working for me. Keeps timing out.

LOL, theres only about a thousand other websites. Try Picturetrail.

It's not on your end, it's on PFF's end - a problem with the firewall. It should be solved relatively soon now.

It's working (finally) for me.

Haven't used PIP is forever, but figured I'd give it a whirl... Seems to be working for me.

Nope, it's still timing out for me.

PIP has worked fine for me 99% of the time since its introduction here years ago, so it's not like I've always had a problem with it.

Still timing out here as well, but after clicking Jake's link I don't care about it as much anymore.
