Thinking about buying one of those expanding hoses? Think again. All junk. I even tried the top of the line Dap Xhose pro. If you really insist on buying one maybe get the China cheapie from Home Depot and keep taking it back and getting a free replacement. The X Pro hose did not last that much longer than the cheap China knock offs. What a waste of money. Really cool when they are in good condition. Mine lasted 5 months with very occasional use. Hopefully someone does a search on them sees this and does not buy one.

You talkin' that expandin' garden hose thing? Yeah, those things didn't look too sturdyish. Then again, so much of the garden stuff out there is utter crap. Give me old-schooly brass n' rubber gasket era stuff, buck-o!

Don't wanna think of how much coin I wasted the past few years on the "new" stuff. el-crappola!

Knock on wood, our X Hose has worked fantastic over the year or two since we've gotten it. The Pocket Hose on the other hand, not so much. I would definitely buy more X Hoses if the need arised. Did you store it inside?

Was thinking about that this weekend actually.. The evil spring is coming and tired of fighting with my 100' hose that tangles more than sprays water.

Was stored and used in my garage to occasionally wash a car. Lived an easy life. Exterior fabric split, inner hose blew up and split. Pop. When I used it I was super gentile with it. Never pulled on it etc. Many reviews on line stating the same thing. They will make a lot of money and it will fade away in time.

I think that's the business plan for any company that puts "As Seen On TV" on the box their product comes in.

Check your water pressure? 40-70 psi range (My plumber set mine at 50 psi). I had a busted regulator in my house that allowed too much pressure and caused problems like water hammering, leaking ice maker, etc. I've used the cheap expanding hose and it did not bust apart. I did step on the plastic hose end which immediately failed.

My water pressure is fairly steady at around 55-60 PSI.
