Fiero T-top owner’s have been waiting for this moment for a very long time, now that it’s here don’t let it pass you by!
Fiero Parts and Appraisals has (after many attempts) found a manufacture that is going to reproduce the Fiero “CJB” T-top roof weather strip seals for us. In the past when we had the Borla exhaust system made for us and had a very hard time getting those that committed to a system to pay for it once it showed up. This is the reason for the payment terms below. This is how we are going to do this for the seals, we are only going to do a pre-paid order, we need 50 (or more) sets to be pre-sold before we will give the go ahead to have the molds made and place the order. All subsequent orders will also be 50 or more. These seal are being made of top quality materials and under a strict quality control program and every part will be inspected by me before it gets shipped, which is nothing new for me. To make a single mold for one seal would be upwards of $50,000 each. This company will making many molds and hand assembling the seal like they have been doing for the past 56 years. They do low production runs for BMW, Bentley, Rolls Royce just name a few and have done one offs for GM, Ford, VW and private collectors all over the world. They are being sold in sets only. No discounts for more then one set ordered. These will be a very small runs and we may not be ordering any extras sets to keep in stock.. We are being told that from the day the contract is signed and a sample set is sent to us and approved, it could take up to 2 ˝ to 3 months before we have them ready to ship. This will not be a open-ended order, if after a appropriate amount time determined by me has gone by without the minium number of seals sold the order will not be placed and no seals will be produced
These are the only terms under which we will be accepting the pre-order payments.
1. Money order or bank check only with no expiration date on the face of the check. 2. Return addressed envelope. (no postage is needed). 3. A valid address for shipping your seals. 4. If you are ordering other t-top parts, a list of what you are ordering is needed. 5. All orders are final once paid, unless we do not meet the 50 orders. 6. Orders will be filled in the order that the payment is received NO EXCEPTIONS. 7. Checks will be made out to Fiero Parts and Appraisals and sent to P.O. Box 1186 Saco, Maine 04072
************************************************************************************************************ To try to get this moving faster would it make it any easer for you if you could pay with PayPal? You would have to pay the fees, that will add 15.50 to each set. ************************************************************************************************************
The price is $480.00 per set. You will be getting, one left “CJB” roof seal and one right “CJB” roof seal, shipping will be $10.00 to the lower 48 only. More outside of that. If you wish to order P-seals and or glass seals to convert to the “CJB” style roof seals. please email me at parts@fieroparts.com for pricing and shipping of the additional parts. Have a question other than for the additional parts, you can email me at tim@fieroparts.com If you do not like the price or have a negative commit please keep it to yourself, we are NOT making much on these parts. This is the price you pay to have low volume parts custom made. In the event we do not meet the 50 orders all funds will be returned via your self addressed enclosed envelope you will be sending with your payment.
Thank You Timothy Perrigo Owner Fiero Parts and Appraisals

19 days left to lock into the lower price! I'll be in for at least one set paying with credit card. Can't put it on the card until later in the month though. Like right before the 30th. I can't wait to get back to the US and work on my car. Thanks for posting this and making these seals available to the public again. Now if we could get some more people to find this post and buy some it would be great. If you get down to the wire and do not have enough orders, but have a reasonable chance to make the number let me know and I will either PayPal you the price for a set of seals or send a bank check. If you had 30 or 40 I would send payment now but you are a long ways from the 50 minimum and I do not want to tie up money needlessly for a month or two.

Just in case anyone missed this post I made a few days ago this what is going to take place.
"The price quote for the molds and seals we were given is only good until July 7th, Sometime before that date (around June 30th) we have to decide if we want to pay for the molds and the 50 sets of seals out of our pocket without the full amount of prepaid orders that are helping to cover some of the costs, or to just let this die. If we pay for the molds and the 50 sets of seals, the price of a set of seals will go up, way up, to cover our long term investment costs and keeping stock on the shelves is a big part of that. Those that have a paid order in will be locked in at that price. If you want to be locked in at this price you have until JUNE 30th. to get payment to us, you will need to have the funds here by that date. As it is priced now, we need to sell about 86 sets before we see any profit, so right now this is a losing proposition. We did modify our payment terms so that if some wanted to use a credit card could do so thru PayPal with the added fees to be added to your total cost. We are trying (for the third time) to bring these to market so those that need them will have something, other then a leaky roof. If this fails its back to square one, and that's nothing. We know it's a lot of money for some, just keep in mind that this will be (more than likely) your only chance at getting these seals.
Tim,"
So in other words, if we shell out the big bucks to have these made, only the pre-paid orders (by June 30th) will get the price of $480.00 after that the price will just about double. The more pre-paid orders we have the more likely we are to have them made. Tim,

I will keep that in mind before I make a decision.
Are you talking about the front molding?

I am very interested, but I don't understand what it will cost to make these fit my '87 T-tops when the time comes to install the aftermarket ones. Can you give a description and price for all the extra parts needed?
Here is what mine look like. I am new to t-tops, so I don't yet know the differences. Thanks for the help!

You will need to buy the glass seals that go with the roof seals here to make this work on a NON-CJB car. $100.00 more for the set (2) Price is only good if you get the seals in this deal.

No, the structure filler that goes inbetween the sheet metal of the outer roof and the inner roof. I will find my illustration sheet to help identify the part if you need me too.

Sorry - the reason I ask is because you just made a last-call, but you also said we had until the 30th. Then earlier you said you could call it at any time.
I want to take advantage of your deal, but I won't be collecting the money for my sold Fiero until this weekend.
Thanks!

Just joined the forum & found this thread. I'm rebuilding my Factory Blue 87 which had the t-tops added by the dealer (I didn't think there were too many Blue T-Top cars out there, & the paint condition is identical to the pic above, incidentially - Saxman, I'd be interested in hearing your car's config, & find out where it was ordereded).
I'd like to sign up for a pair of weatherstrips, along with the roof seals for converting to CJB type install.
Tim @ fieroparts.com: To meet the deadline (I just found this thread today, talk about timing), It looks like paypal is the route of choice, & I'll be happy to send payment in the morning, pending three questions:
Is there absolutely anything else I need to convert an existing pre-CJB roof to the newer style? What's the grand total for the weatherstrips in question, the CJB conversion roof seals (+ any other parts needed per your answer to above), with funds sent via Paypal? What's the plan if this falls through - alternate plans & the timetable for refunds?
If this goes through, I'm definitely in.... Thanks for the update, & for the answers to above.

I have an '86 Gt with C&C tops. How can I tell is I have a CJB or none CBJ car?
MY tops leak at the windows in heavy rain and the front most and rear most seal are in bad shape (Pseals???)
Learning more everyday. Thanks.
If yours is an 86 it will have the non-CJB tops unless they were retrofitted by a DIYer. Look at the trim that covers the edge of the headliner fabric. The non-CJB had a piece of plastic trim that was separate from the rubber weatherstrip. The CJB trim was incorporated into the weatherstrip.
The fabric (or used-to-be-fabric) seals that fill the gaps between the glass edges and the body trim are called P-seals.

Tim, I've been trying to contact you with a question about paying with paypal. That would be how I would have to pay. My email is borchard.john@lincoln.navy.mil Thanks for your time. I'm hoping to jump in on this deal. I hope it's not dead.
