Tim, I've been trying to contact you with a question about paying with paypal. That would be how I would have to pay. My email is borchard.john@lincoln.navy.mil Thanks for your time. I'm hoping to jump in on this deal. I hope it's not dead.

I'm hoping this deal isn't dead, but haven't heard anything back on my previous e-mail or posts on this thread.
Thanks in advance,

If you look at the top of page 2 you will see this info from Tim. The only problem is that he did not state what his PayPal info to send the money to is. Tim, can you give us the info needed to send you some $$ for these seals.

I took some time off. Now to take care of business, if you want to pay with PayPal it will go to tim@fieroparts.com $480.00 for the seals. $10.00 shipping. $15.50 for the paypal fees.
The price for the CJB glass seals is $100.00 for the set when you purchase the roof seals.
If you are using PayPal to pay for the roof seals and you want the extra glass seals to convert you will need to add the $100.00 for the seals AND 3.00 for the added fees. If you are out of the country (U.S.A.) the fees are higher and you will need to email first.

Hello Tim, Email sent and fingers doubly crossed on this one. There have been a lot of preorder sales like this that have went south. I'm going to try my best not to let this one slip away from me. Anyway, I'll be waiting for your response. Thanks as always. The price quote for the molds and seals we were given is only good until July 7th, Sometime before that date (around June 30th) we have to decide if we want to pay for the molds and the 50 sets of seals out of our pocket without the full amount of prepaid orders that are helping to cover some of the costs, or to just let this die. If we pay for the molds and the 50 sets of seals, the price of a set of seals will go up, way up, to cover our long term investment costs and keeping stock on the shelves is a big part of that. Those that have a paid order in will be locked in at that price. If you want to be locked in at this price you have until JUNE 30th. to get payment to us, you will need to have the funds here by that date. As it is priced now, we need to sell about 86 sets before we see any profit, so right now this is a losing proposition. We did modify our payment terms so that if some wanted to use a credit card could do so thru PayPal with the added fees to be added to your total cost. We are trying (for the third time) to bring these to market so those that need them will have something, other then a leaky roof. If this fails its back to square one, and that's nothing. We know it's a lot of money for some, just keep in mind that this will be (more than likely) your only chance at getting these seals.
Tim,
We have 20 pre-paid orders as of right now.

I will spring for a couple more sets if you think it will help getting this job done Tim. I also need a windshield channel support bar, the filler bar across the front ot the T bar, got any?
Fieroparts...I am picking up my T-top around the 10th. I do not know what the condition of the seals are. Is it possible for me to get my name in the hat at this price. Then pay if I need them? Thanks!

Is there any decision as to whether the purchase will go through with the current number of committed buyers?
This has been a very hard decision to make, we only have about ˝ of what we need to meet the minimum order. Based on past experiences with the buy out of Cars & Concepts and with the reproduction of the P-seals it’s clear with the limited number of Fieros with t-tops, it takes a long time to see a profit. I don’t know if I can afford to have all that money tied up with inventory just sitting on a shelf. I faxed over a letter of request for a hold of the price with a time extension of 60 days in hopes of getting 30 days and or to get some kind of minimum order reduction. If the answer is no to all, I will have until July 7th 7pm central time to inform them if this is a go or not. I will post as soon as I have any new information on the direction this is going.
I haven't been here in a long time. I'll take a set including a set of seals for the glass. Which is the best way to send you the money, or should I wait until you get a answer from your source.

Tim
I have good news, not so good news and bad news. The bad news is the minimum order is set firm at 50. The not so good news is the costs for the molds and materials (seals) is going up on the 21st. unless the go ahead is given on or before that date. The good news is we have a new dead line of July 21st. 2 weeks from this Friday. It's not the 30 days I was hoping for but it's something.

Tim I appreciate you pulling this deal together but something doesn't make sense to me.
I can understand the quote being limited in time, because everything goes up in price. But the standard industrial rate for escalation is 3% per year. It seems to me that this company should not turn away business just because you miss thier deadline.
The price a year from now shouldn't be more than 3% higher than the quote they gave you...unless material costs have gone up that much. These things aren't made out of gasoline so I can't understand why the price would be escalating so rapidly?

If they're made out of rubber then they are a petroleum product. Plastics and non-naturally occuring rubber are made from refining crude oil. So, they are (in essence) made from gasoline!

And I thought rubber grew on trees!

Actual rubber is in the form of a plant to be sure. Newer copmpnents are more of a synthectic material and have very little if any natural rubber implanted in the material. I know for a fact, from a wire type supplier, that their prices are good only for two weeks as of late because of the steel industry ups and downs (mostly ups). With the costs of fuel on the continuing spirial upwards smelting costs are also on the rise. I would suspect that synthectic materials are closely related.
Tim, are you ready for my boost in orders? PM me or just send me a phone # and maybe talk about this.

The order for replacement t-top seals has been placed!
Although these seals are not inexpensive, we think you'll agree that replacement seals for your t-top Fiero will greatly enhance its value and your pleasure of owning.
We've only received 23 pre-orders for seals so far, which is much less than the number needed. In order to make this deal happen, we're investing a substantial amount of our own money. As a result, after this Tuesday (the 11th) at 5pm ET the price must increase for those who have no paid pre-order, all payments must be in by that time. The new price will be $707 (+$10 for shipping) per set. We understand these seals are expensive and this is a lot of money, however, know that we are investing substantially more money.
It's unfortunate that there are some members who choose to make rude and attacking comments. We recently received a message telling us to "go shove your seals up your AS$". This is uncalled for, unnecessary, a disservice to the Fiero community and find this behavior extremely rude. We're doing our best once more, to get high quality (low quantity) reproduction parts available. We too wish the price was substantially less, but in the world of custom, low quantity parts, this is the reality.
Thank You, Tim

Tim that is great news! (about the order going thru)
I think I speak for many who say "Thank You" for the time effort as well as the finacial risk.
You and folks like you help keep this hobby going.
Fieros need parts and parts need money.
T-Tops forever!
I sent you a email 10 days ago about your payment being short, I have not received a reply or a corrected payment amount. Please contact me so we can clear this up before the dead line.
Tim

Sweetness. New seals... new engine... new transmission... I'm going to have soooooo much fun when I get back to Washington! It'll be like christmas except I'll be getting things I actually want/will use... Thanks a bunch for bringing these to the market. I only wish I would have had a little more investment capital because then I would have ordered a couple sets. I do look forward to owning more Fieros.
Aloha, John
