Just because someones a professional doesnt mean anything. Professional just means you can get paid for sh!tty work LOL.
Say what you like - I'm a professional, and where I come from, that carries meaning (both in ability and in composure when dealing with others). My superiors respect my skills & abilites. So do my customers. And so do my professional counterparts. Any one of those people (individually or as a group) has a higher reasoning & justification for their opinion of me & my work - than anyone here judging skills by signatures.
So... what are you a "Professional" at that you proudly offer others your shotty work?
quote
Just because you have credentials doesnt mean youre better at it or know what youre talking about over a "non-professional"
Agreed - credentials don't necessarily give one superiority over another (I had instructors in school who very much hated being corrected). But experience, references and your portfolio speak loudly in this business...
BTW: F-I-E-R-O ... I like the style of your "Wraith" image - good font choice & nice overall "feel"!

How about one last one with the Fiero and Ferrari icons toward the center like above, but with everything else like my current siggy. I like the barcode (reminds me of Dark Angel) and the trees (home). Thanks for a great job!

A funny story. My niece (my brother's daughter) went to school for many years getting her degrees. So did her husband. I don't remember exactly what she does or what field she is in, maybe accounting, but he is some sort of super duper specialized Marine Biologist with a masters. So specialized in fact, that he is virtually unemployable. Last I heard, he was teaching jr high biology students in Little Rock Arkansas. Has been for several years and is miserable-the proverbial 'fish out of water' so to speak. Pun intended. She is working part time as a bookeeper. Both take great pains to always point out they are now "professionals", especially to her younger sister, and both are equally infuriated that the younger sister brings home more than both of them combined. She started as a cashier right out of high school, and is now a district manager for Piggly Wiggly stores. It's a big point of contention during family gatherings at my brother's house and he finally had to sit the two 30 something 'professionals' down for a heart to heart regarding what he calls their elitist attitudes. Neither of them can find their axs with both hands, and are deep in debt. Miss Piggly Wiggly is driving a paid off BMW and last time I saw 'Ms' Professional, she was driving a 80s something minivan my brother had to give her when he bought his new truck. Of course, he still has to work on it, as they can't afford to have it repaired, and neither are willing to lower themselves from their own petards long enough to dirty their lily white hands with mechanic work. But hey--they have those framed thingies hangin on their wall. Wonder if they are edible?

Well, I see the word (professional) used as a noun all the time, in the context of a lofty station in life, and I thought I'd relate my experience in that little true story. Most of us make every attempt to be professional in all our dealings, regardless of our formal training or lack of it, but a few tout it like it was an appointment straight from God, and they are not to be trifled with by us commoners.
