Don't forget the fine print.
(Well... not really fine print, but way down the page.)

Shipping insurance
Not offered

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Seller's payment instructions
buyer must add 3% if using paypal for fee... etc.

And $51.58 to ship UPS to GA?! What are they, made out of lead?!

Yeesh.

Payment Surcharges

Sellers may not charge eBay buyers an additional fee for their use of ordinary forms of payment, including acceptance of checks, money orders, electronic transfers or credit cards. Such costs should be built into the price of the item.

Violations of this policy may result in a range of actions, including:

Listing cancellation

Limits on account privileges

Account suspension

Forfeit of eBay fees on cancelled listings

Loss of PowerSeller status

Considering the "on again-off again" auction stunts, the lies, the attempts at manipulating PFF members, the arrogant behavior, the excessive shipping fee, and the attempt to collect a payment surcharge against Ebay rules....I'd be very, very suspicious of the quality of those headers guys.

CAVEAT EMPTOR

I can just about see it now..."They weren't cracked or warped when I shipped them" "Call Oprah or Dr. Phil if you got issues"

This guy is a real piece of work alright.

The sprint headers are Garenteed from being damaged an any way ,Other then descrided ,some scratches, had then on a motor before upgrading to a different set headers
The shipping was from the calculator (I gave size of box and weight ,Thats what you get).
If the calculator is wrong ,then i will refund the differents or figure shipping before payment is sent.
and if you want to pay for insurance ,add it in.No proublem
Make sure to pass it along,Ladies

Take care of your illegal PayPal surcharge and you're beginning to improve a bit there Tinkerbell.
You still have that nasty little issue of jerking around PFF members and Ebay bidders. As far as your Guarantee, ( Garenteed???), there's also that dishonesty and arrogance issue, (still obvious in your last message), but hey we all know what a stand up guy who can be taken at his word you are, right?.......yeah right.....

I make my share of typos, but Good God man!, is English a 2nd language for you?

I'm just curious as to how you would have to spend $46 in listing for a reserve? The fee for putting a $500 reserve is $4.80

I sent him a ebay question. It read "are you going to cancel this auction?
Afterall I have reason to be leary so I asked.
Here is his response.

This message was sent while the listing was active.
gofast250 is the seller.

your bid would be cancel and void,
I dont sell to jerkoffs

I be cancel and void now. LOL

Really too bad. I have looking for another set of headers for awhile. Prefer WCF long headers but some like these are nice also. I usaully pay about half retail price for used if anyone is interested in selling theirs to me. If anyone has damaged ones or cracks thats ok too.

And that E-mail violates Ebays policy, something about harrassment and being nice to each other.
I haven't looked but if the new auction is cancelled, he probably had it yanked by Ebay...

Mike,

I don't want to buy your headers, never did, never would--I have no use for them. The sandrail had me fantacizing for a minute or two.

But from what I've seen the past few days, you just don't get it. So as calmly as possible, and without calling you any more names, I'll try to make you understand why we (pff & Ebay members) think your business practices are much less than shady.

How buying and selling works 101. I offer something for sale in an auction. I start the auction at the minimum I'm willing to accept or set a reserve of what I will sell the item for. I have made an offer. Joe-Bob says. "I'll bid on that Item and give you what you're asking." In an auction, when the first bid is offered that's acceptable under the opening terms of the auction, the item is considered sold, pending higher offers within the auction period. When an acceptable offer is made under the terms of the auction, the seller can't change the opening terms--by raising the minimum, reserve, or ending the auction. It's called "going back on a deal" and unless the bidder is asked and gives permission it's considered bad business, highly unethical, and dishonest (and dishonorable.) Ebay takes a very dim view of this, live auction houses would never allow it.

You apparently did this twice--just on the headers. You also did it on the sandrail. That's three times that we can see, we wonder about your previous auctions on Ebay.

Then you come back to this thread and act all angry and mean. You should be apologizing for you actions on Ebay. The Ebay auction system relies on ethical and honorable participants. When people do things that dishonor the system, it hurts all of us.

I doubt that you'll be selling your headers this time around (I kinda hope not.) But you can let the dust settle and try to sell them at a later date. We won't be following you around to see what you're up to--don't care enough or have enough time to spend on it. And maybe someday you'll be mature enough (or been burned by someone like you) to understand all this. I hope.

well brian, I cancelled my auction ,ONCE on the sprint headers then relisted then as you see them ,AND i cancelled the sandrail auction,Once only to relist the frame only,
so get your facts straight before opening up .
If one cant change their mind on something (like a auction )without being accused of being dishonest and a liar.
Then I would prefer not to deal with those people at all.
My feedback speaks for itself ,I have never burned anyone ,and dont plan on starting here.

Well put Brian, but I'm afraid that your words might be wasted.
People like Mike are simply incapable of understanding the nature of their odious behavior.
Clearly he sees transactions, and probably life as a whole, as simply matters of winners and losers, with no regard whatever to personal integrity, honesty or even just plain old good manners. I said before that I don't believe he's stupid. I don't think he's the sharpest tool in the shed either. Hell, from the nature of his posts, he's barely literate.

The crux of the matter is this; He came to this forum and invited members to his Ebay auction. The net result of which turned out eventually to be manipulating those that responded to that invitation. Had he not done that, none of all this would probably have taken place here. As it has developed though, he has shown his true colors to other members and in the process has probably earned himself quite a bright glowing red bar, or well on his way to one.

He has conducted over 160 Ebay transactions and has a 100% rating, but even at that we have no idea how times he might have pulled similar stunts to the one he pulled here with other people or special interest forums. Ebay seems to be pretty lax about policing this sort of thing even with complaints. His 160+ transactions on Ebay have been, in the vast majority, buying instead of selling, so other occurances of this behavior may have gone un-noticed in the past. I too was interested in bidding on the headers, but I like to wait until the end of an auction to put in my bid. That opportunity never came about in the first round of this debacle, and what has transpired since has convinced me never to do any business with this guy. I was also personally incensed when he lied about the nature of a transaction I conducted on this forum and the communications that ensued between myself and him regarding same said transaction.

The steadfast arrogant nature of his screeds on this matter since it's inception clearly indicate that he, perversely, sees himself as some sort of "winner" from this sort of conflict. That is genuinely sad, but also indicative that your or others advice, no matter how sage, is likely to have no effect on such a dysfunctional personality.

These auctions are time stamped on the first page of this thread. Most of your feed back is as a buyer. (Seller is only 31 out of 193.) And you don't have the right to cancel the auction "because you changed your mind."

First header auction http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymot...QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Cancelled after someone had bid on your headers.

Second header auction
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymot...QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
You cancelled this one after quite a few bids and after someone bid it up to $325.

Third header auction
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymot...QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
You started this one $50 above the highest bid in the previous auction. I don't think any forum members ( THOSE PEOPLE) will be bidding on these overpriced things from you .

I don't need to accuse you of anything, you do a pretty good job of demonstrating what you are through your actions. Tell me where my facts are in error.

Trevor,
I hope you are just kidding.

I think it's time to let this pathetic and twisted guy go on his way. As I said earlier, people like him are not able to understand that the things they do are wrong. The way to "punish" him is to make certain that any time he tries to sell something here, that members are reminded just who and what they are dealing with. He has already done himself more damage here than anyone could do to him. Please don't threaten to commit a crime against someone. If you feel like you must do something, then "hit him" with a negative rating here and rest well in the knowledge that you helped brighten up his red bar that's obviously coming his way.

Simply incredible !
Just when you think you've seen everything with this putz, it just gets more bizarre.

"Bidder 1" (what an original name), appears out of nowhere....what are the odds?...yeah right......

One good thing in his favor...shipping to himself ought to be pretty easy

Well it could be a real buyer.
I wouldn't sell to a new buyer like that but he may have to. I prefer to see a few lesser transactions before I would do a 400 dollar deal.
I don't actually wish this poor guy any trouble I really just want to loosen up his thick skull so something could sqeeze in.

Bidder 1 is Ebay's way of protecting people now. There was a lot of scamming going on with 2nd chance offers and such (I got one) and people were being duped. Now you have to be the bidder or seller to see the actual info of the person so that other people can't target you for a scam and also to prevent people from contacting buyers to try and sell a similar item for less.

And yes, Ebay will pull your auction if the right reasons are met (put the word 'indiglo' in your auction).

I stand corrected. Thank you.
This must be relatively recent.

I'm confused. Why do they pull it if you put "indiglo" in it?

indiglo is not the offical name of a illumincent device, indiglo is a registerd name registerd by casio for a watch that lights up that way.

just like rollerblades is a name registerd by a company, they are really called inline skates

problem is that the new system protects the shill bidders. And doesn't let you know if you are bidding against a friend.

Unfortunately, it also prevents you from warning potential buyers about unscrupulous sellers.

I did not need to sell them but for the right price i will ,I have 3 other fiero i could use these on.
make a offer if your serious ,im not letting them go for less then 400.00 + shipping.
As well for the sandrail i had for sale ,I would take no less then 5000.00 for it.
So i will be parting it out ,everything but the Corvair drive train .I'm keeping that for a spare set up for my 65 conv, corvair.
Thanks for the interest

This post alone by him should be forwarded to Ebay, or better yet, send a link to Ebay for this thread.

From the above it sounds like he put them up just to see what they would fetch.
I do like how his first statement is how he decided to keep them and yet there they are up for auction again.
I'm glad he's all happy that a number of people are watching it. Of course that means nothing. I am watching them as well but I'm not going to bid on them. I just want to see if he will actually sell them.

If he really wanted it to look believeable, he'd register another shill account and start a bidding war against himself.
