updated 02/04/06 and i added another + for brian lamberts i bought a clutch fork from him at a very resonable price and quick shipping.
And it was really clean, wasn't it? Good to talk to you on the phone, btw.
Always glad to recycle parts out of something that's broke to resurrect something that's fixable. (plus at a coupla pennies a pound at the steel recycler, I'd really rather sell it for a reasonable price and make a couple of bucks.)
I got my trans from Jeff at Engineered Performance (PontiacJeff). He was straight forward, always returned emails and promptly delivered the goods after payment was made. I was very hesitant about buying after I saw the fiasco from some other threads on here (from other sellers) but this went really smoothly.

I wish to post three good sellers with whom I had excellent results: PaulV - excellent pair of GT seats, very well-packaged and promptly sent; stephsformula - nice rust-free gas tank and rear absorber for '88 Formula, very well-packaged and promptly sent; Fierodave - new Getrag shift cable, well-packaged and promptly sent. It is an excellent experience to deal with persons of integrity.
Two bad sellers: One, 88_P_Arrow, aka Steve Steele. See the thread in the Mall at Yellow 88 Formula 5-sp TX.
I don't think the second is on this list, classiccatalogs@kolenich.org. He sells dvds that allegedly contain Pontiac/GM catalog part numbers for Pontiac Fieros (and other vehicles) of various years. This would be helpful to identify parts before going to a dealer or gmpartsdirect. The dvd turns out to be pdf copies of scans off the pages of the SERVICE MANUAL, which has no GM part numbers. Many of the illustrations have numbered bubbles with no reference to what the numbers mean. Total scam.

Edit: Oops! PM sent.
It always surprises me how good Fierostore does. I ordered some small parts on Monday and got them Wednesday afternoon (priority mail.) That means that they pretty much ran out to their parts bins, pulled my parts and handed them to the postal carrier on Monday after my call. And all the parts I've gotten from them have been first rate and at fair prices.

And let's not forget, buddycraigg, who did a wonderful job rebuilding, testing, packaging, and shipping a headlight motor. I strung him along since November asking questions, thinking I wasn't going to drive it until Spring anyway. Thanks for the great work.
It''s so nice to be able to drive my Fiero again, and not feel strange with a non-functioning headlight.

I had an excellent purchase from "m0sh_man" and he really went out of his way to make everything right, Definately should be on the good seller's list
mOsh_man let me send a MO for something he was selling off. I realise taking PayPal would have been much quicker and maybe easier for him. But he held an Item back till my MO got to him.
------------------ Ol' Paint, 88 Base coupe auto. Turning white on top, like owner. Leaks a little, like owner. Doesn't smoke, unlike owner
Another for the good sellers list: WisconsinGT Just bought an almost mint-condition GT steering wheel from him, he even included the horn parts and GT center button. Excellent transaction.
brandosfiero can be added to the negative section .
volt110 to the posative section justin heileman to the posative i know for sure there are more but i can remember them at the moment
------------------
DONE: 86gt 5 speed 4.9 complete rebuild with buds outback northstar pistons , delta cams E303 cam , full ported , polished , stronger head springs, and flow tested heads and manifolds. rockcrawl's custom chip , polished crank . too much to list
I don't buy much I guess, so I don't have much to add.
I've been selling a bunch since the first of the year, so here's some of 'em

Then there's the not-so-good non buyer. Over two weeks ago (2-14), I offered an OEM GM Fiero trailer hitch with mounting kit for sale and a guy up in Oregon said he'd take it. Now I realize that we all might be working on different philosopies of payment and shipping, but pheonix97031 still hasn't paid me for the hitch (& I haven't sent it.) If his money order isn't in today's mail, I'll post the link for the Ebay auction tomorrow.

I have had two good transactions with Brian Lamberts (I was waiting for this to resurface so I could add hime!) so 2+ for Brian! He ships promptly and prices everything fairly.
I have also had good dealings with The Fiero Store (2X, even more from several years ago). Sometimes a bit pricey but they have the stuff that is harder to get!

Whoopie!!!!!!!!!! I finally discovered why the car was repainted, and the nose looks like crap, and the hood/fenders/nose don't line up: it was in a front end accident, drivers side. Shame on me for not doing a Carfax (not that I really believe in its accuracy), but more shame for a forum member not to disclose that about a "turnkey" car !!!! I feel very strongly that I can trust anyone on this forum, unfortunately it's guys like this that make it harder to do this.
I wish that Indyellowgt had been a little more up front about what he was selling, I passed up a better car for this one.

Why is Fiero1969 on the Good list???? He screwed me over in a HUGE way. To make a long story short: He offered to install a caddy v-8 in my fiero, in exchange for my very nice running 2.8 V6. I took my baby & a caddy 4.9L I'd acquired 4 hours north for him to do the swap. He took my motor and never made contact again. I learned that Dave went to jail for being a pedaphile, about a year and a half after dropping my car off and losing contact, his wife called me and said she'd have my car towed to a local junk yard. Ironically I found out later that SHE was driving his fiero with my motor in it! Somehow the car had made its way into another state, about 9 hours from my home, and I had exactly two days to pick the skeleton up. My car came back as a wreck, engineless, and many good parts have been taken as well. The only, only reason I didn't report this to the police is because dave's brother convinced me that he was on drugs at the time and another conviction would have put him away for 10+ years. basically my $5-6000 show car has become a pile of parts with no future. If dave is still around the fiero community, I'm going to report this to the police...because it means that he really has no respect for us. He should have ran away from fieros as fast as he could. -mike schaefer
Just finished a very quick pleasent transaction with buyer Fiero-in-Paradise (Tom), a couple of PM's and the funds were in my PayPal account and his mats were in the mail. Took maybe 2 hours tops to complete the whole transaction and he should have his mats within a week! Geat guy to deal with. A+
Have to give another plus to The Fiero Store also, been dealing with them for many years and have yet to be dissapointed!

I think I've already said nice things about Carolinajoe in the past--and I really feel bad that he's gone over to the dark side. The power mirrors he sold me arrived today--and they are really first rate. Quick to ship, too. Did I mention the price was pretty nice? Wish I coulda afforded more of his stuff?

Please add another positive to stephsformula. I've bought a couple different things, and everything was great. Even went out of her way to make sure I ended up with what I needed. Thanks.

In the past few months, I've had EXCELLENT transactions from the following sellers/PFF members:
1. DRA (two purchases and FAST delivery to Hawaii!! An absolute great guy to talk to and deal with.)
2. Electrathon
3. Orief
4. Oslo
5. Dodgerunner (Just received his new belt tensioner package, can't wait until the relatives leave to install it. Fast delivery, custom foam packaging, bracket is well-engineered and constructed/welded, will provide a separate thread on the the Tech side once I have it installed and running. I don't see him mentioned on the good seller list, but he should be. Great guy to shoot the breeze with!)
6. Finally, and this is completely unsolicited...Had excellent transaction with the purchase of d/s rotors from a company in S. Calif, V1 Specs (David). Of the many other folks who sell d/s rotors on e-bay, he was the ONLY one to respond to my questions. After receiving a set from him, I had trouble with the front left rotor, and he INSTANTLY provided a complete set of new front rotors, no extra cost!!! Unreal!!! Great guy to deal with if you're in the market for d/s rotors!
