With JMunilla and chrisgtp that makes three for round FOUR!

Anyway, sorry guys, the machinist is closed for vacation from the 4th to the 7th and will re-open on the 9th. It looks like I will be doing one of those "I need to leave early for an appointment" (great to be management) on Wednesday the 11th (I'll try earlier) so I can get these things and start shipping. This is the longest delay I have encountered (from PFF orders to delivery) since I started getting these made. I am REALLY sorry it is taking this long! I just ask for a little more patience. I know they are done as of the 7/2, I just need to get them.
If anyone is frustrated and wants their money back I will understand.

Bob

bump for another 7 people. this has to be the most cost effective upgrade you can do to your car. i've been bitching about my fiero brakes for almost 10 years, but wasnt willing to shell out the big bucks to WCF or somebody like that, and was unhappy what i felt was the mediocre grand am upgrade. end rant, and half-assed sales pitch

Thanks for the sales pitch and for everyone's understanding!

Great News! I have taken the day off (get away from this heat) and will be picking up the order tomorrow (7/11) morning! I will get as many sets packed and shipped out as I can tomorrow afternoon! I will let everyone know who's got shipped and hopefully will get the remainder sent out by saturday (7/14).

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! HAAAAAAAAWWWWWW!

Great news indeed! I was beginning to wonder, but not lose faith. I guess I should've ordered all the other components I need....
So back to a redundant question, Has anyone gotten any feedback as to how the 5* brackets work compared to the 10* brackets? I haven't kept up with the threads since I placed the order, but just wondering if anyone has heard anything yet???
Thanks,
Jurell

Sorry about that h.d., I edited the post to include you. Your got shipped.

Sourmug, the person at one pot (post?) office said I could use the same Priority Mail Flat-Rate boxes I used for everyone else's (like last time) but I went to a different PO on the way to my dad's place and they said I could not use them, so I have to re-package them. When I went to ship some this morning at the first PO I mentioned to the same guy what had happened and he said they didn't know what the second PO was talking about. Mind you I was talking to the Post-master at each branch (don't you just love the friggin' US beaurocracy!) If I would have known that, they would have got shipped this morning. I went back home and got yours re-boxed anyway, but missed the 12:00 noon closing. I am stopping by a NJPO on Monday morning by my warehouse to get yours (and the sets for twfcars and dguy if possible) sent out.

Thanks Bob.

Yes, it's amazing how you can get two different ideas as to what's acceptable at two different post offices. The same thing happens up here too.

Brackets arrived yesterday in good shape.

They were wrapped in a sheet of foil covered foam. Is that the insulating stuff?

Thanks for the good service.

That is actually a Low-e DHW wrap we use for the customers of my low-income program in NJ.
We always have this left over from job-sites. I will be using this stuff to insulate my Fiero from sound and heat.
I am glad to see the brackets are arriving that quickly, I hope the ones sent to Canada arrive as fast!

I assume you will be doing another round of these? I do need a set before I get the car on the road...but other priorities at the moment. I should be able to buy for the next round, but can't commit until I know what kind of timeline we are looking at (can't send money until September).

PaulJK....PM received......I did the same for you.

dguy - SHIPPED 7/28 6-10 day priority
twrcars - SHIPPED 7/28 6-10 day priority

sorry guys, it's been a little crazy around here with work and having to sort thru my wife's grandmother's things since she passed away early last week.

Corvettefan86.....got your address....will be shipping one morning this coming week

Sourmug......did you get yours yet? They were shipped 7/19 6-10 day priority....this would help dguy and twf gauge when they should be expecting their's. I hope customs is not a problem.

Guys interested in another batch.....please PM me with your order (5 degree or 10 degree rear) so I can compile a list and make sure we have enough orders. I do believe there were about 6 or 7 (need to go back thru the thread) including two on my regular e-mail. If you PM me it makes it alot easier to track. I probably will keep the orders open thru August and send them to the machinist in September. Remember, we need at least 10 ordered sets to do a run.

Bob

Nope, they have not arrived yet. I'm not concerned yet as it usually takes a little longer than expected for some reason.

Has anyone confirmed yet that the 5* brackets resolve the pad grinding issue?

I talked to my machinist (my brother-in-law) today and he told me that at his pay it would cost more to make a single set of these than $92 (his labor is free for me as a favor, but with that information I will use those favors elsewhere)...so if anyone is wondering, these really are a great deal. I am just hoping for a definitive answer on the 5* question before I decide which ones.

Thanks for the information and the feedback!

dguy and twfcars, if the shipping time hold true to form, I'm guessing that you should get your sets on 8/09 (next thursday) or earlier.
