Ok March 7th has come and gone. The core charge is gone. Out of almost 20 sets sold I've gotten 3 sets of cores back. I was hoping to get them quicker but since I'm not then I had to look elsewhere to get them. I've now purchased the needed tools to speed up the process of making the metal parts and am getting other tools made.
Price now is $100 plus shipping.
From the looks of the last set sold on e-bay they should be much much more but I won't take that road. Last set sold on Ebay was $242.99 WOW!!!
My supply house can't keep up with me I guess. I bought them out 2 weeks ago and they never ordered more. Looking like 10 business days until I can get more in. However I will be looking for more reliable means of purchasing the needed supplies.
I'd like a set for an 88, but I have no time to take the old ones out beforehand. I know you don't offer discounts if one can't provide core parts, so I can pay the full $100 or whatever it is when you have the parts available (as I see you're currently sold out). Just keep me in mind, send me a PM, etc. You can also email me at JH@NOSPAMuserdefender.com (minus the NOSPAM of course). Also sending a PM.

I'll be getting a shipment in of supplies this week. Not sure when. This Saturday is SpringFling III which I am going to be attending. Due to the switch in supply houses this has actually sped up when the supplies will get here. I've been asked when I think I'll be getting them ready for sale. I can only say that I'll get started on Sunday if they do get here this week. I have picked up a couple more tools to help speed up the process.

Dew wipes are now being completed. I have began sending out messages to those who have expressed interest in purchasing them. The list is 12 names long so please reply to your messages quickly.
I got it. I'm busy making sets and kits, to work through the list of names that I have. The list is getting smaller, for KITS I'm having to hassle the local GM house to get what I need in larger qtys because they only order one set at a time.
Once the list is Done I'll start updating the Stock Graphic.

Stuart I sent you the cores back Feb or March but did not receive the refund on the cores.
I knew there was two that I missed. instead of just one. Spring Fling threw me way out of the loop one person already asked about it and I remembered getting them and had this feeling that there was one more set received that didn't get the refund. Sorry about that Sending it right away.
There is a thread going on in the "Technical Discussion" section about interest in dew strips. I'll try to point them here.
Anyway, before I knew that you were constructing high quality dew strips I purchased the JC Whitney dew strip cores and have gotten as far as getting one of the old petrified outer strips off of my 85 SE. The problem is that the four felt pads that are riveted on to the strip are petrified as well. So, I am looking for sources of the felt hardware that attaches to the strip so I can reconstruct mine. Would you be willing to sell the felt hardware that you mount on to these strips or let me know where I might be able to purchase two sets of the four pads?
I have new inner adjustable felt pads, but am wondering if I have to remove the glass in order to replace these.
Also, what type of rivet tool do you use to make a zero depth rivet as are on the strips now?
Thanks.

There's no place that I know of that makes the metal pieces. These pieces you need to grind the rivets off of so you don't hurt the holes. You may be able to get someone to send you their cores to get them. The old felt just comes right off. I don't presently offer these because of the amount of time it takes to make just them. I'm working on getting them made by machine but not yet.

Thanks for the info, Stu. I have the old metal felt cores and they are OK. Where do you get the dense replacement felt and is it sticky backed? Otherwise, how do you attach it?
Thanks again. Tom

How long is your wait time? I don't quite have the cash now but I will in a week, so I wouldn't mind being on the waiting list. I need a set of these, they look great.
