As a collector of Indys I was interested in yours at your asking price of $25,000 minus at least one zero. But I do not consider a state registration card "Plate # 36" as proof this was the last parade car, neither does anyone else, neither should yourself.

I NEVER SAID IT WAS PROOF OF THE LAST PARADE CAR!!! Jesus Christ guys WHY do you insist on putting words in my mouth!!??!!
$2500 won't touch my car. I get compliments every where I go, every time I drive it.

So, you say the link is wrong, yet you got the image & refuse to say how or why the link is wrong so I can fix it. Gee THANKS!
Sounds to me like you just want to stir up trouble.

Yeah, it dosen't matter if there were 100 or 150 Indys there. What we do know is that there were around 2,000 built, somewhere between 100 & 200 there on race day, & there are few of THEM left. What we don't know (& I'm trying to find out) is how many of the parade lap cars are left?
We've heard from two folks that know of someone that has one, so I guess we can assume at least three left. As I sad before; even if there are 20 left they are still worth more than the other Indys, if they have documentation to go with them.

Look you are the one starting up issues here with your whining. I think that is what you live for here. It is none of your business on what I do for work and how I do it. End of story. The photo is there and be happy with it and your life. You are keeping the car then good for you. But leave me out of this from now on. I was trying to be nice to post it for the folks that could not get to your crappy link. So now dont you think its a good time to move on with your life. Im out of this one.

But what I mean as the last DOCUMENTED parade lap car is not that it was the last in line or made, but that it's the ONLY one left with documentation. The Original Indy registration proves that it was a parade lap car, and NO ONE else has come forth saying they have documentaion for theirs. IF this is true, it's a "one of one" peice of Indy Racing History. The folks at B-J love things like that....
I do plan to "restore" it (it needs very little) in the future, if no one makes a good offer. But yes it'll have to be very detailed to bring top dollar (whatever that is).
The '88 T-Top on the other hand, is a different story. I've made a final offer to one person to sell it to them, & if they don't want it, tonite I'm using it for target practice & then cutting it up for scrap. I'm SOOOOO tired of spending my time emailing people & sending pics & talking to them on the phone only to have them change their mind at the last minite (after wanting it soooo badly). I'm tired of wasting my time.
But it's OK if no one wants the Indy. It's a fun car to drive & everyone loves it so I'll keep it & enjoy it. In fact, if someone wanted it for an investment. I was thinking of buying another to drive; I just don't really want to drive around TOO much in a one-of-one collector car...

Paul, sorry, but you did say that the Indy registration is proof that it is a parade lap car.

Not everyone that has one of these cars comes to this forrum. Just because no one else is making this claim is because they simply do not know what "proof" is. Some were in the parade and on the track and others were backups. I think if we could find some documentation with VINS and who was in which car, then these carrs value would go up. I gotta go.....

Edit to add - I may have miss quoted here - Paul did not say it was proof of the LAST parade car but he does claim it is proof that it is a parade car. This thread has gone in too many circles. I can't keep up anymore.....

YOU were the one that said the link is bad, yet you can't have the decendy to tell me how to fix it??? And you got the image OK: how did you do that if the link was bad???
I never ask you what you did for work - I asked you how to fix the damn link!!! I guess you had to twist things around to cover the fact that the link HAD NO MISTAKES IN IT!

No wonder you can't keep up. The threads go in circles because of IDIOTS posting crap that I DID NOT say.
What I actually said was that the original Indianna registration proved that the car was tagged for the race with FLAG LOT # 36 - that is the ONLY Indiana tag issued that year with TAG # 36. Whether any one of the flag lot cars were actually on the track will be next to impossible to prove, unless there is a photo of it on the track with a clear view of the flag lot sticker & the number on it. The fact that it was a flag lot car is what collectors will be looking for. It is one of few remaining that were at the track on race day.

I checked the VIN on carfax and it does not recognize it as listed, unless you substitute a 6 for the 5 after the R. Interesting? Rick were you able to confirm the VIN?

Its on the list but can not remember where I received the information on it. Honestly with all his antics I feel like removing it until he sells it.

This guy would look at himself in the mirror and say it isnt him, then argue with himself while blaming the neighbor for his antics.

What ****ing antics??? YOU were the one that posted that it was "uncalled for" when I simply said I didn't know know why some of you can't get the pic! What the hell was uncalled for about that???
I can't believe how everyone posts **** that I didn't say, then I'M the one with the "antics"!
I don't care if my car is listed on your site or not. Your site is not official in any way - it's a personal website that happens to be about Fiero Indy cars. Anyone could put one up doing the same thing. You should be interested in giving your users correct information, not arguing about **** & stirring up trouble. If the TRUTH is not what you're looking for, you should never come to one of my threads. Especially to stir up trouble.

I don't blame them for staying away. I wish we had a good forum where we could discuss this without the BS & they could let us know what they have.
Everyone wanted to see my registration, but when I posted a pic they only bitched about it. I'm not posting any more pics.

It is official and helps anyone who needs to verify a Fiero Indy. I am very interested in giving correct information and have been with the help of many others. I also pay for everything with the complete knowledge it will only help a few people and it is one of the largest Pace car pages dedicated to less then 270 known cars and possibly only 700 left in the world. I will keep the page open at my expense as long as it helps one more person with there purchase of a Pace car. Neat isn't it? I had to practically boot you off my sight if you remember?? Rick B

Rick:
How do you come up with "700 left in the world"?
I was under the impression that # was much lower.

What makes it "official"? Is it sanctioned by Pontiac? The Indy Raceway?
It's a great site, with a lot of good information. You should try to keep it that way & not stir up so much crap.
BTW: it dosen't cost much to have a website, other than your time.
BTW #2: My car is not on your VIN list. It's an auto.

Edit: You didn't say what "antics". Funny how folks here make accusations but refuse to give examples....

Sorry Rick, I misread it as being 68725 versus 48725. That is why I questioned it earlier as to not seeing it with Carfax.

Hey Paul should we talk about Floor mats????? http://www.fieropacecar.com...pic&t=201&highlight=

Rick B

We sure can. Here is what you said about the mat & situation:
QUOTE:
"I use Pay Pal and have won a case just like this on the steering wheel. the problem you may have is the picture was there unless you can prove he added it after you bid???? I see he added it on the 6th and you bid on the 5th so that is a start. He can not give you a band feedback if it is in resolution center. You are allowed to dispute bad tactics as he did. Make sure you tell them you didn't look at it until you won it so they understand you missed the picture or you would have pulled the auction. There still worth the money as they are rare. Remember to not give way to much detail to Ebays complaint center. Just put that this is a rare collectable part and that he put a photo up after you bid and you didn't see this until it was over. You do not look at your auction everyday but maybe you should now after this switch and bate tactic. They will be on your side.
Oh and no that is not a 9 more like a 6 or 7 at best . Rick B"

And QUOTE:
"That is not right and you should leave this on Pennocks so folks make sure they know what he did. Shame he is acting like that. Let us know if Ebay works with you if you do anything. Rick B"

Is that the floor mats you're talking about? Funny how EVERYONE agreed with me including YOU on both the condition of the mats & the A**hole attitude that todd had.
https://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum2/HTML/087545.html

I thought that was 6 in my VIN too. The numbers are hanging below the line. I had to open the scan & blow it up to read it (I also checked my other paperwork). BTW everyone: notice my car is listed as a "Parade Car"...

I guess...
I don't need your list to verify my car. I have the proof in the Indianna registration. Unless you know of ANOTHER car that was registered in Indianna in 1984 with a plate # 36 (I kinda doubt there were two...).
I said I was willing to pitch in on the cost, but no one contacted me.

Hey Rick,

Can you confirm or not confirm that this one is a parade car?

Thanks

Pat

Yes it is and was the 1st car built as a Parade car but was numbered consecutively off as number 2 probably when it was taken off the trailer. So #1 on my list is actually made one after his and then most of the rest are in order. Rick B

I really don't care who drove it. Or it's place on the track. Or the keys(?). I know it was there, I have documentation, & if I ever sell it the next owner can get that info if he wants to.
I still don't get why you got so upset over me saying that I didn't understand why folks couldn't get the image. The link was proven good.
Funny how you agreed with me (like everyone else) on the condition of the floor mats untill todd started posting all his lies...

P.S. Just let this thread die. I'm tired of getting notices that people have posted again.

What must it be like to be able to convince yourself of these delusions? Rick "(like everyone else)" never had a problem with the condition of the mats because like you he "(like everyone else)" never SAW THEM! Rick had a problem with the way I handled you. An opinion I disagree with but can respect.

Your behavior, on the other hand, has been indefensible and your resurrection of this subject that has now passed its ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY is getting really tiresome. I am perfectly happy to sit here and watch you self destruct over your misrepresentation of your car's history but it is time to drop the Floor Mat issue once and for all. Get a life.

What must it be like to be a pathalogical liar & have it come back to haunt you? Rick "(like everyone else)" DID say the mat was NOT a "9", & you did not have to see it in person to determine that. It was very clear in the photo. Even the guy that BOUGHT it (after I said it was OK) said it was NOT a "9" - saying QUOTE "And for the record they are not a 9 if they are the ones I got 2 years ago on E bay are a 15".
Rick had a problem "(like everyone else)" with the way you jumped in on your FIRST POST in my thread about the condition of the mat in the photo, calling me a jerk, a pinhead, & a bastard when all I was trying to do is get opinions on the mat in order to work out an amiable agreement with you.
My behaviour has been to post nothing but the truth; if that's reprehensible to you then I can't help that. Not surprising though, that posting the truth is reprehensible to a pathalogigal liar. I'm not surprised either that it's getting tiresome to hear about how you lied & acted like an ass. Yet I have yet to see an apology from you - in fact all I get is more BS. Case in point: "misrepresentation of your car's history". I have not mis-reprsented my car's history AT ALL, yet you post another lie to make folks think so. If you don't believe my car was a parade lap car then ask Rick. He has the data now even if he dosen't want to share it with me because I'm stubborn about posting the truth!

Yes, & if you recall I said I was glad for you that you made money on them. But I still want better mats for my car. No need to buy something that's not as nice as the rest of my car.
I let you buy the mats directly from todd to save shipping & yet you bash me for....what exactly? Telling the truth?
