Ed I sent a message to you using the email address you show on your paypal account and for ebay, gtaed@yahoo.com I just would like an update on the shpping if you can provide it? Bought on ebay 12/25/05 using paypal for immediate payment on the same day.
Fellow Canadians, unfortunately I used Fedex pre-shipment services and they did not have the customs forms to fill out. So they got retained in the Indiana hub. But, I have their number and I will be getting this taken care of soon. This applies to Nolan and Tim.
Update: Yes I received my mirror and I'm quite happy with it. Fedex was not updating the tracking ( ). Just to let everyone know, Eddie remained very civil thoughout the shipping issues and was very helpful, I would buy from him again. The mirror is great! A + for you Ed.
Thanks Nolan

I purchased two of these. One has already been installed. Hopefully I can document the installation of the second one with pics.
Installation is not bad at all. (And I'm lazy as hell. If it was a PITA, I'd say so. )
From memory... The only thing that created any confusion for me at all was the UV sensor wiring. It appears to have a + and - wire. The temp sensor appears to not care how it's wired. Other than that i'ts pretty much just wire routing and zip tying.
I mounted the temp sensor on the back edge of the opening in in the fascia, in front of the radiator. I figured that with the car moving, it would get a fairly accurate reading of the air temp, without picking up a lot of heat from the road surface or from the radiator. The wiring was snaked back through the corner of the spare tire tub, beside and behind the radiator.
The UV sensor is mounted on the black cowl panel, on the piece of plastic that supports the windshield squirter. The wiring for that is snaked down through a hole drilled in the plastic cowl panel, and out through the rubber plug that is next to the wiper motor. (This plug is used for a pass-through for the under hood courtesy light wiring on some models.) Both sets of wires were routed over to the metal "dummy plug" where the clutch MC would mount (mine is an automatic). I removed that metal plug and drilled a 3/8" hole through it. For the last few inches, I stuffed both sets of wires into the same plastic wire loom (a bit of a trick, but not too bad) and routed them through the dummy plug and into the car, through the hole in the firewall. I pulled the wires into the car from the inside, then reinstalled the plug.
The ends of the sensor wires are plugged into the harness connector. (As mentioned, pay attention to the polarity of the UV sensor wiring.) The entire harness is pulled up through the plastic trim at the left end of the dash (The A pillar molding really needs to be removed) and plugged into the connector, up by the mirror. Follow the same routing as the map light wiring. I taped the wiring harness to the ceiling of the car (the headliner was out) and zip tied it in the corner where it starts down the A pillar.
If your headliner is in place, it will be easy enough to just stuff the wires (and the small connector) under the front edge of the headliner board. Working from the top down, the harness is "de-kinked", and zip tied to the map light wiring that is routed down the A pillar. Both fused hot leads can be connected together (I cut off the ends, twisted the wires together, and used a crimp type spade connector) and plugged into a vacant IGN socket in the fuse box. The machine screw that holds the fuse block bracket to the dash support (IIRC) provides a convenient place to tie the ground lug.
All of the extra wiring (I had several feet of "nearly everything" left over) can be neatly coiled and zip tied out of the way, under the far left side of the dash. Just make sure that nothing is going to fall down and get tangled around your feet, or get pinched in any moving parts, like clutch or brake pedal linkage.

Raydar, sorry I did not see the post. I received your e-mail and you have one back. Also thanks for posting the installation notes. I've been trying to finish a 3800 SC swap in mine and have it taken apart so I can't provide the detailed guide yet. If anyone has questions regarding installation, just post them or PM me and I will be more than happy to answer any questions. Thanks, Ed

Well I went ahead and did it without a Picture How To. I also took about 20 pix of the process and will post them in about an hour (after I eat something).
Well here we go..... I started off placing the temp. sensor on the front bumper simular to what Raydar posted above. I threaded the cable with sleave through the hole behind the bumper where the turn signal light cable runs.
The cable was then zip-tied to the head light cable along the bottom of the light housing.
Next I ran the cable throught the wall into the spare tire compartment up through the corner of the tire pan.
I then placed the cable under the normal light cable that is already running along the side of the compartment.
Then I started on the UV sensor cable. From the front of the car if you look at the top right hand corner of the tire compartment you'll see where the Hood release cable comes out of the fire wall. That has 2 rubber gromets. One where it exits the interior cabin and one where the hood release cable inters the windshield wiper area. Remove the cover to the windshield wiper area (6 plastic retainers) and you'll easily see the wiper arms and the hood release cable. I pulled both of those gromets out of their holes and slid them a short way up the cable. Here is a pic of the gromet from the wiper arm area.

Once I had the gromets where I can easily reach them I inserted a small screw driver from the back of the gromet through the rubber to open a 1/4" hole through the gromet. </A>
You can see the hole a little when you look at the yellow circled area pictured below.
First I removed the cable sleave from the cables. I then slowly pushed the pins of the UV cables through the gromet from front to back ( be very careful that you break these pins) so that both cables pass through the gromet like this.

Then I unbolted the two water jet nozzles and carefully pulled the hoses from the nozzles. I then used a 6mm drill bit to drill a hole in each nozzle for the UV sensor and the dummy bolt for the passenger side nozzle. You need to drill the hole as far down on the bracket as you can go and still get the head of the bolt to sit flat because you need clearance for the hose to reconnect to the nozzle. Here are a few pix on what it looks like. First the UV sensor from the side. From the bottom. Be very careful tightening down the UV bolt so the UV bubble doesn't get broken.
Once you have the UV Bolt secure on the bracket then you can mount it back on to the chassis. Then connect the UV cables into the white connector provided and connect to the cable coming from the gromet. With the bracket and the cable it should look something like this. I still have to put the cable sleave back on the cables and connect them. I haven't finished everything here because I will be doing some cleaning and painting here tomorrow.

Well that is as far as I got today. I can't find the pamphlet that came with the mirror and I need the schematic to know which pin goes into which slot on the connector.
Fantastic!! Thanks Ed. I'll get it finished today and finish the How To. One thing though. For the Temp sensor both wires are Black/Green. I doubt it makes a difference but I'll check if I get a + or - reading by switchin g them around. Raydar posted above that it didn't change anything.
