Timo, this guy doesn't really care as long as they will fit your buckets and they have a low sleek look. He dosen't do that much driving and it's only driven in the summer when the days are much longer.
I think I posted in your other thread that there are two versions of the 150mm lamps. One for countries that drive on left hand hand side ( i.e. Australia, UK), another model for the countires that drive on the right hand. I am not sure but I think Canada has approved ECE headlamps so if they fit in your buckets only the US and Carribean are not approved to use these lamps, but thats only if you are concerned with the regulation.

i believe the red car with the rect. lights used camero or grand prix light (earliy 90's) with the 4 seperate lights and modified the back to take a high/low beam bulb. i saw a write up years ago on a website.

So how many guys out there are looking to do the rectanguler head lights? show of hands.... what are all of you going to use as headlights? and ones that will us a H4 bulb.
I have 7 people who want the rectangular buckets. They are waiting to see what I can use for headlights. The Hella HL21100A from Sesquehanna Motor Sports are probably going to be the lamps used.

I'm interested in the rectangular set. Any idea of the total cost? I could make the harness if I had the proper ends.
The cost of the rectangular buckets is the same as the twin rounds ($208 shipped). The price of the lamps from Sesquehanna can be seen here for the HL21100A kit. The lamps come with bulbs, rubber cap and a wiring adapter. I think that will be everything you need.

I have to decide which light to use. The lamps are mounted with the screws through holes in the buckets. The 150mm don't have mounting screws they are held in the grill of cars by mounting face plate that is part of the grill. The 165mm come with the mounting frame and adjustment screws.

Sounds good, I will be watching the thread. I will be buying a set of one or the other for sure. I am putting them on the chop top I am getting from Archie (#13).
I am jealous... I am wondering how Charleston was skipped over. Myrtle Beach got theirs, Florida got theirs, and I am still waiting. I hope my package was not beat up so much that the post office refused delivery. After hearing of some of the others that were pretty beat up, I am starting to wonder.
I have the lights, and connectors ready to go once the buckets arrive.

Please send me your mailing address again. Let me check to be sure it's what I used to ship with.

Well I was able to get the driver side bucket completed today. The bucket looks nearly stock when using the H9 connectors and such. I was thinking about making a rear cover but after seeing it installed I may not be in such a rush to make them. Anyhow here are some pics:
Bucket before install:
Bucket and harness installed (down position)
Bucket and harness installed (Up position):
Hood closed from front:
NAPA self-adhesive door edge guard for top edges: (Note part number. Cost is about $8.00)
I am going to do the passenger bucket tomorrow if I get a chance. Buckets were painted with POR-15 Chassis top coat.

Orief, you's is by far the cleanest looking install. I was getting worried that I was going to have to make a fiberglass front to hide the adjusters and other parts, but your install makes them look fantastic!
Anybody who's contemplating the 90mm round headlight conversion but hasn't made a decision yet might be interested in the comparison pictures I posted in this thread. The light from the OEM H6054 halogen sealed beam looks pretty pathetic when compared side-by-side with the Hella 90mm modules.
Just got back from the machine shop where we are working on the Rectangular Buckets. We will be using the Hella 100mm x 165mm lights! Here are the part numbers again. Ribbed Glass: 1AB 006 277-127 Clear Glass: 1AB 008 888-041
(Could someone check what the above Hella part numbers would be over there? The lamps need to have the mounting bracket with the 3 adjustment screws.)
Here is a link to the lamps we'll be using except that the lamp has to come with the mounting bracket. These lamps come with screws and springs to mount the lamps with but we won't be using them. They are too long. We will be supplying screws and springs of the correct size & length along with the buckets. The prototype will be done on Thursday and mounted in my Fiero for testing and photographing.
Sorry this has taken so long but we are finally almost there. Thanks for being patient and I hope you'll like the results.

Yesterday I got my buckets back from powdercoating. Today I installed the lights in the buckets. I was too dumb and installed one light 90° wrong. lucky me there where more of these small plastic lock that goes into the bucket, so I managed it to pull the light out and mount it the right way... puuuuuhhhhhhh.......
So now I'm looking forward to have some time to install them in the car!
