Interested in the kit. When does payment need to be sent by? Also what style of bulbs go into the hella projectors? I haven't read over much but I think I read an H9? Please let me know. And the pictures look awesome!
Thanks for such a cool product!!

Payment can be sent now. PayPal to Fiero1Fan@fieros.eu . As soon as I have the payment then I send the buckets. When you order the Hella lamps you get the H9 bulbs along with them. Just make sure you get the full kit that also includes the H9 connectors, mounting screws and rubber caps for the back of the lamps.
edit: I said that Oreif has made harness for the Twin Round installation. Contact him for details and prices.

To clarify, H9 halogen bulbs and mounting hardware are included with the 90mm housings if you purchase them from Susquehanna Motor Sports, but you have to order the H9 connectors separately. The H9 bulbs include an integral base seal, so they do not need a separate rubber cap. Only the ECE (European) modules, which use an H7 bulb, have the external rubber cap.

Do you have buckets available to anyone who hasn't already expressed interest? I'd like to get a set of the twin rounds if they are not all already claimed.
Please remember that all the discussion concerning the adequacy of the stock Fiero headlight circuitry still applies. Neither Oreif nor I think that the stock headlight switch will survive the current demands of four 65 watt H9 bulbs ... at least not for very long. Adding a relay would still be a better solution, IMHO:
I think I am missing something. There is only the relay on the low beam circuit??? the high beam should have a separate relay. I am used to reading the German wiring diagrams and I am not used to the American vehicle diagrams. I wired mine up by adding two relays by the left light so no load goes through the light switch and the high beam switch. Correct me if I am wrong. Dave

No high beam relay is needed ... and the low beam relay is needed only if you want the low beams to remain on when the high beams are on.
The high beams of the stock H6054 halogen sealed beam headlights are rated at 65 watts, the same as the new Hella H9 lamps, so the H9s do not increase the load on the Fiero switches or wiring vs. the stock headlights. That said, properly wired relays won't hurt anything, either ... although they do increase the complexity of the system and create additional points for failure.

Do you have any side by side pics of the new rectangular versus stock size? I was hoping it to be as low as the ones thats pictured on the first page of the thread. Thats the look I was looking for. Doesnt look like it is that low to me compared to stock. I know the red car had modified lights, nothing that could be bought.

I'm afraid I have to agree. I was looking for an upgrade in lighting and style. I can gain a significant amount more light with a halogen conversion for a quarter of the price. Not as dramatic of a change as I was hoping for.
Edit: I realize the difficulties of getting DOT certified lights and I'm sure you tried your best given that.

I won't sell something that isn't legal to use. For those who want to make their own lights I do sell the blank face buckets and they can install what ever lights they want to.

Alright, it's time for me to throw my hat in the ring. I am pretty close to getting an 87GT (dads looking at it this tuesday) and all it needs are these low profile buckets. I would like the circle lamp style. Now I'm an idiot when it comes to these things. What all do I need to install these? Do I need to find the lights myself or does someone on here have them available? To keep the lows on when the brights are selected I need a relay of some sort? Can someone help me out here? I'm sure you will.
Hi Jarhead2m4, look a little further up on this page and you'll see the circuit relay you'll need to get both sets of lights on at the same time. Also in General there is a group buy for the lights that you might still be able to get in on. The other thing you'll need is the wiring harness to attach the lights to the Fiero harness. Oreif makes a harness, send him a PM.
BTW, you can get rid of the zinc coating with acid. As long as the acid isn't too aggressive, it won't harm the steel. A 10% solution of hydrochloric acid (aka muriatic acid, available at hardware stores) should do the trick. Just make sure to neutralize the acid when you're done (baking soda works), or the steel will quickly rust.
I forgot to say that you should use gloves when playing with the acid.
