I accidentally deleted this entire topic and had to restore it from a backup but that means that today's and most of yesterday's posts were lost. Sorry 'bout that.
Was wondering why I couldn't find my post (or a response to my idea) until I read ^ that ^.
Anyway, what if the thread-starter could select the poster(s) in his thread who could leave feedback. That would prevent people giving feedback who were not involved in the transaction. Don't know how you would do it, however, just a thought.

My answer (which I also accidently deleted) was that that wouldn't be such a good idea because that way, I could simply only select those I didn't rip off.

I don't know if I missed this question, but is there any way to make the stars brighter? They seem washed out compared to the rest of the graphics on the site. Other than that, very cool!

Normaly I have my preferences set to show the last 2 days posts. Considering that a sale is made on 'day1' with a PM to seller on that date, it may take a a few days for a money order to be received by the seller. Lets say for argument 1 week. Shipping , for an example, takes another week, or more? It seams you're going to have to open up 15-20 day's posts in order to leave feedback? I'm prety consentious about leaving feedback, and keeping up with PM's. I'm just wondering how many buyers/sellers will take time to scan through that many pages? Or am I missing something obvious?

edit: Any thoughts about integrating buddycraigg's most excelent work? I'm afraid I haven't kept a list of my good/bad sellers/buyers.

I kind of feel sorry for the sellers that are developing custom products for the fiero now. Everyone knows this is a long drawn out process and fiero owners are impatient. I'm mostly referring to msfiero's sail panels, that everyone has been waiting on for months. It is basically out of her control, for quality control reasons and now everyone is going to rush into the thread and rate her negatively for how long it's taking.

You shouldn't have to go through that many pages. Just go look at "my recent posts" and It may be in there or you could just add the page to "my favorites" until the transaction is finished.

That's why the feedbacks can be edited at any time. I think it's more than fair people receive a negative feedback when something has been paid for and then takes a looooooooong time to get shipped - no matter what the excuse is. Then when someone finally gets what he ordered, they can always change the feedback to a neutral or even a positive. But once money has exchanged hands, it should never take long for the items to arrive.
I see this happen quite a bit lately: people take money for an item, then suddenly disappear for a while or come with all kinds of excuses not to deliver what people have paid for. They even get defended by other members. And I really don't understand why. Sure, the guy or gall can be the nicest person on earth, but once you take someone's hard earned cash, you better be ready to deliver.
And when somebody hasn't actually paid for an item and still leaves feedback, the receiver may dispute the feedback since no transaction has actually taken place.

I went through the (lengthy) list of people I've bought stuff from, and could only leave feedback for a few because I couldn't find the old threads the transactions occured in. Oh well, the system seems to be working.
i may have found a problem. i recieved two feedbacks from two different people. one of them was not valid (they were both positive by the way)
i told cliff about it and he removed one. now in the thread my feedback shows N/A but if i click on the NA i go to my feedback screen and it shows the one valid positive still there???
so did i find a glitch? and if so do i get a cookie?
Bone head me, I left a rating for the wrong member. Whats the recomended way of dealing with my mistake? Is there a place to go to see all your personal seller/buyer ratings, kind of like what you've done with the regular ratings? No it wasn't buddycraigg, but I still owe him about 3 +'s for everything else he's helped members with.

awesome feedback system! thanks cliff. personally, i'd like it to pop open in a smaller, separate window, but this works well. thank you for the hard work!

Sorry to bring this up so late, but I had thought the feedback system had been down for some reason, until I visted the site on IE and saw it appear again.
I'm using Opera at the moment, and for some reason the feedback display is missing entirely. The ratings bar and "Rate This Member" show correctly, but there isn't even any open space where the feedback display should be.

Hey Cliff, I have been using Firefox for over two years. I have used it since I joined here about Jan, or Feb. 2007. Today my pages are all white, instead of the usual blue. Also there are little aquare s in the upper right side of the page. I have almost always used Vista to come and go here. Any Ideas whats going on ? Everything is still correct on my IE brouser. Thanks for the great site you made for us all.

Alright, I'm still fairly new here, so pardon me if this question has been answered previously, but has anyone else not been able to view or leave feedback when using an Apple machine. My BlackBerry will show feedbacks, but my MacBook Pro and iPod Touch don't seem to have the option. Any insight?
