EDIR: Refer to a later post for a pic and confirmation that they ARE the 88 GT Gold Diamonds.

I have a set of 4 brand new Gold Fiero GT wheels. I THINK they are from an 88, but they could be 87's. I am getting them in a "I clean out your garage full of parts" deal and I don't need them. They may have slight wear just from being 20 years old, but again, they have never once had a tire mounted on them, and have been kept in wheel boxes, not in a stack.

I'm taking the family van down to pick them and a hundred other things up on Wednesday, April 8. As far as shipping, I will charge you exactly what I have to pay. My zip is 46221. Please don't ask me to look upthe shipping costs, because that's all you need to look them up yourself aside from the weight, which I don't know.

You can call 317-354-7360 if you want me to grab a specific part for you from one of the 6 cars I'll be scavenging, also. I'm getting the stuff pretty cheap.

I forgot to mention a price...as far as that goes, make an offer. I have a vague idea of what they're worth. Pictures should be up Wednesday.

The only year they offered gold diamond spoke wheels was 1988. Also, IF you have '88 wheels, they were different offsets front and rear, so two wheels should have almost no silver "lip" and two should have a silver "lip" of something like 3/4-1" The ones with no lip should have "37" offset stamped/cast into the back of the wheels as an FYI.

Good Luck to you selling! These are fairly rare from the factory if they are 1988 Gold Diamond Spokes.

Seeing how I have 2 1988s I prefer them wider in the rear. Tires and wheels also.

Alright, I have them. They really are immaculate, and even still have tags and stickers on them. Here's a pic. They ARE the 1988 Gold Diamond wheels, I suppose.

EDIT: I forgot to mention, I have not cleaned them up, and that stuff you see is NOT corrosion on the silver. The stuff on a couple of tires on the gold are mud-dobber nests. Once cleaned out there will be no damage or scarring as a result of them. These things will look PERFECT once cleaned.
This images is larger than 153600 bytes. Click to view.

I've made some calls and the general consensus is 400 bucks. I'll let them go for 300 plus actual shipping cost (Or you can pick them up).

I now also have headlight motors, gauge clusters, speaker covers, lots of the silver or black trim for the interior that sits around the gauges/shifter/console, reflector lights for the corners on the outside trim, and various other parts. I also have some 84 SE sail panels in good condition (No cracks!) and some 85 GT Sail panels, also in good condition. I will sell the stuff CHEAP.

Sorry, I only have a black one. I have tons of that kind of stuff, but most of it is the gauge cluster trim and the console trim.

I also have a Holley TBI and Holley intake manifold for a 2.5l. Both are new. Think they're worth anything? I have an 87 2.5, and as far as I understand, these won't fit on an 87 or 88.

I would like to have a set of 88 Gold wheels but based on the pictures it is difficult to confirm that they are 1988's. The lips in the pictures all appear to be equal which would indicate to me they are all 88 rear wheels or perhaps 86 or 87's? Will you provide the stamped part numbers on the back side or inside of the wheel Please?

They do have different lips. I promise, they are 88 wheels. As far as the "sail" panels, I'll take 40 for them plus real shipping cost.

I could use some 87-88 headlight motors and various outside trim and corner lights. Let me know what you have and how much you want.

I think all I have in the way of headlight motors are 84-86, but I might have ONE 88 motor. As far as those outside lights, I have at least 10 of every one. As for trim on the inside, just ask. I have a lot of it. Any of you, feel free to call me at 317-354-7360.

I believe these parts are quite rare... I have no idea of their value, but my guess it would be very sought after.
Not saying you shouldn't make someone a good deal... just sayin' you don't want to let yourself be ripped off either!

If you have the trim surround (dot matrix style) for an '88 automatic in superb condition... I might bite.

NIce wheels BTW... I think your price is awesome... it would cost more than that just to have stockers refurb'd.

GREAT price on wheels. Wish I hadn't just picked up some 87s locally. My 88 GT came with the gold but the PO swapped wheels to sell another car because tires on the gold were in better shape than on the black wheels on the T-top he sold earlier. Just a few months ago you could get $500 for black 88 lace wheels in fair shape.

I was told by some people who sell a lot of Fiero stuff that these are probably the only unused full set in existence, and that GM's old list price for one was close to what I'm asking for all 4. So, the wheels are going on Ebay. Apologies to anyone who inquired about them and I said I'd do 300, but I need college money badly and can't afford to sell them for less than half of what an expert has told me they're worth. So, again, I apologize, but the wheels are going up on Ebay. WHo knows, they might even go for about what I'm asking here.

You have some nerve to post an item for sale then after someone (mrfiero) posts that they will take them you pull out, you should have done your homework FIRST! You need to honor your price and the deal and sell the wheels to mrfiero for the price listed!

I totally understand these are his rims, and he can do whatever he wants with them....sell them, keep them. throw them away, whatever.

Get a load of this.........
I was told the rims are mine. I was given a total, I arranged shipping through my UPS account, I was instructed to pay with paypal PLUS include the paypal fees in the total. Then all of a sudden, 3 different PMs are sent several minutes apart from each other urging me to pay within an hour or else he'll move on to the next guy. Then finally I'm told they aren't available because this is such an "insane deal", and that'll he be taking " a loss". But i can find them on ebay.

This is a direct quote from a maddanceskilz in the 2nd PM......."I'm a man of my word, I will still sell them to you at $300". Your word is sir.

Has anyone seen the ebay link? Me personally, I don't think they'll break much over $400 on ebay.

Did you ask your "expert" if they were willing to pay the price they say they are worth. Often "experts" are VERY over priced when they are talking about someone else's money. Very different from what something will actually bring. You see it all the time people wanting high prices for something and six months later they are trying to get half of what they started at. On Ebay you may get lucky and find some guy with more money than brains that really wants an item for a high price but you have to have at least two or the bids won't get there.
Unless the buyer is going to put them on a show car that's never really driven, after a few months of driving they will look just like any other set of used rims in really good condition (assuming they are still in good condition) that wouldn't even bring the $300. I don't see the big deal that they are new. On a lot of parts "new" makes a big difference but I don't see it on wheels.

Like was said before. Once you set a price it's just not right to go higher. Next time you should research before pricing. Or ask for "best offer" and don't set a price (even though I hate it when people don't set a price).

I'm not going to start a flame-war with 007DOUG or anyone else. He's already tried that in the PM arena, and grows more agitated each time I apologize.

If I had the money, I would have sold them at 300. I don't think they'll be going on Ebay, because Ryan Warhol (I know he's on here, just don't know his name) is taking them as a 750 dollar trade-in towards a 3800 series II swap which will be sold along with the car that it will be housed in once completed.

I did try and do my research. I called everyone I could think of including West Coast Fiero and nobody seemed to know what they were worth, although everyone said 300 was too cheap. It was only after calling 2 individuals I will not name (That all of you know and many of you have bought parts from) and mentioning it to them while I was on the phone with them that I figured out what they were actually worth. One of them offered me 500 for the set plus shipping.

I will not defend myself further. If you want to think I'm a bastard, please do so. And if a mod sees I used the word bastard and thinks that's over the line, I'd be happy to supply you with some PM's I received from 007DOUG recently.

Oh, one more thing. 007DOUG himself told me he knew they were worth more than he was paying for them after I told him I was going to sell them elsewhere. So I really don't want to be lectured on integrity. He knew he was ripping me off.

You, Sir, have NO integrity!!!

-sigh-

I'm leaving the forum. This is ridiculous. Someone, I don't remember who it was, said it was easy for a Fiero expert to talk about stuff being expensive when it was someone else's money. It's also easy to do the reverse. You know what I'm tempted to do? I sold a pair of 84 SE panels for 55 bucks shipped and a brand new Holley TBI and Intake Manifold for 370 shipped. I figured out both things were worth more since I've sold them, but they weren't quite as big of a deal.

If I had no integrity, I'd go into paypal, refund their money, and sell them on Ebay. No...scratch that. If I had no integrity, I'd keep their money and sell the stuff on Ebay, since they'd have no proof they never received the item and they are not covered by Paypal's buyer protection policy since it was outside of Ebay.

This really sucks. I've had such a positive experience on the forum before now. If I was in the opposite position that I am in now, I'd give me a break. I'm 18, living on my own, and putting myself through college. Anyone that's been in my position would likely do the same thing.

To the people I have been PMing back and forth with who have not actually paid for your parts yet, consider the transaction canceled with my apologies. I'm sure you can understand why. To 87REGISTRY, you can call me at 317-354-7360 and I'll give you the VINS off my 2 87's. Unless, of course, you feel the numbers have been tainted by my ridiculously awful and terribly unethical business practices and generally loathsome and disgusting character.

And to Cliff Pennock, if you should happen across this thread, feel free to delete my account. I won't be back.
