Pretty much. A thread in the Mall about holiday purchase of turbos. He kept getting into it with FieroX and Mstangs in different threads and he lost his cool. Kind of unfortunate, he was trying to conrtibute to the community but got caught up in the ugly side of things. You have to be careful on forums like this one. Whether you're right or wrong, if you overreact you won't be around after a while. Mullet, you should call him directly. He may or may not want to go through with the deal now, but it would be best to speak with him about it. Good luck either way.

I am no longer interested in purchasing the engine/tranny/parts TexasGT has ever. I have nothing personal against him but after reading what a completely unprofessional type of person he is I feel it is safe to assume that I wouldn't want to do business with him. He deserved to get banned. What a mouth on that guy!

Although I feel the conflict was initiated by other people, and he was just reacting to them, I do not agree with how he reacted. Unfortunately it did nothing but alienate him from the forum members. The forum will move on as will he. If we had an ignore function, people could just put other members on it, and it could possibly cut down on the amount of fighting on the threads. I asked Cliff for one, and I urge everyone else that is tired of reading this to do the same. A lot could have been avoided if X, TEXASGT, and Mstangs could have put each other on ignore. Just my opinion.
Before anybody goes off to me saying that's unfair because he was banned by the members and I shouldn't override that, here's how that works:
First of all, I will only consider such an action when someone has been banned by the speedban. A speedban is when a person reaches a certain ratio of negative/positive ratings in a certain amount of time which makes the software believe this person is either a troll, or just plain never contributing anything positive. This is simple math (literally). But sometimes, the difference between being banned or not is a single positive rating. So what I do is this: I add my rating to the bunch (even though he officially can't be rated anymore - but that's my prerogative as moderator) and see what happens. The software will do it's math again and either unbans this person, or keep him banned. In this case TEXASGT was unbanned so it was indeed a single rating that would have made the difference.
But, this also means that he only needs a few extra negative ratings to get banned again, after which there isn't anything I can do anymore since my rating is already in the mix.
Hope this explains it. I think it's a pretty fair system since the speedban hits a member without any warning (since the bar isn't visible yet).

I think this is good. There aren't many performance shops willing to work on Fieros, and this one actually trying to partially specialize in them. Thanks Cliff.
