I haven't purchased much from people here, but one particular person stands out in my mind. Can't recall his user ID, and he's not around here often anyway. His real name was Bob, and several years back he was living in the Kitchener/Waterloo area.

I purchased an entire parts car from Bob. Not only was the car in pretty good shape for being a parts car (I've seen pretty bad stuff), he delivered the car to my house for FREE (was probably close to an hour's drive for him, not to mention the time to load up the car onto a trailer that wasn't running under it's own steam). Before I visited Bob to see the car, he told me it would be $350. When I saw the vehicle, I wanted to pay him in full - Bob refused, and would only accept partial payment until the vehicle was delivered.

Bob would only take the total asking price of $350, and didn't accept more for delivering it. Not many people like him.

Bob, if you're out there - thanks. I still have the car, and it hasn't been stripped yet. :-)

Rodney Dickman - Two thumbs Up.

West Coast Fiero - Thumbs Up on my 3800SC headers I recently purchased.

On a side note, I was recently overcharged for an engine mount by WCF ($225.50),
but with a quick phone call, an explanation, and some investigative work by Chis, it was
resolved. So another thumbs up despite some inconvenience to my credit card bill
for a month. I'll still endorse Chris and his shop.

well I had my first experience with a seller on pennocks. Stephsformula

I ordered a front and rear "formula" bumper covers from them. After sending money thru paypal, I didnt hear anything for like a week about the covers. After a day or so longer, i recieved a pm about how the formula covers were gone. ???? How can this be? Turns out, the covers were not in their possesion so they sold me parts they did not have. After a few more days of going back and forth, they found me a front cover. No rear cover mind you. I ordered both. also at the same time, I ordered the honeycomb inserts for behind the bumpers. They sent me a pm sayin that the front cover and the inserts were going out the next day. Waited for tracking info, no tracking info recieved. Finally about 4 days later, got a fed ex tracking number and the part arrives tuesday. Open the package and was completely disgusted. The cover had no lower valance, no emblem, no license plate bracket and was torn in 2 spots plus the paint is completely cracked. The Front honeycomb is in 3 pieces, not one like it should be. Mine is in better shape. Asked for a reply to my pm, still havent heard anything. This cover was "supposed to be a 9 out of 10"

Did recieve a $93 refund for the lack of a rear cover. But the kicker is I sent 230 bucks.

Please beware of this type of fraudulant sales schemes. This will not be the last Stephsformula hears from me.

Tony

I think Stephsformula is a GREAT seller. No problems here.

I gotta say thank you typhoon. And as far as civicduty goes, he does not say that there was never any mention of the badge, license plate holder or air dam being included. Also from the time he said he wanted the parts to the time he paid was like 5 days. The honeycomb was also whole when packaged and I have urged him to make a claim on it. I have also offered to send him a badge, holder, and dam asap no charge.I have tried to accomidate him but some people are awefully hard to please.Sorry civicduty13.S.

so far this year i have had two purchases form forum members

Stephsformula -
i have a transaction in process with Stephsformula. although i have yet to receive the items, it has been just about 10 days, and i give private sellers a bit more slack than established companies, all communications have been answered promptly, i am getting a good deal on the items, and that also affects the amount of grace i give. i look forward to a happy transaction.

Ditch -
i also dealt with Ditch this past week, and had a wonderful experience. Dave gave prompt replies to my inquiries, provided good clean parts at a killer price, packaged nice and securely, and shipped immediately. you rock.

i've also purchased from paul mckibben, rodney, and ed parks. rock solid positive experiences all. these guys are our GM-away-from-GM.

I am sure Paul V. has gotten his share of kudos, but one more won't hurt. Not only have I been able to count on Paul when I have questions about other Fiero people in and around Chicago, but I got a clean, low milegage duke and Izuzu 5spd through his efforts. I haven't started it or even got it in my possesion, but my friend, a high-end auto transporter who picked it up said it was clean, pretty much complete and looked like what it was described to be, a 27K motor and tranny for $250.
Thanks again Paul

dohcfiend, i'm not stealing your idea,
infact your idea was so good that it overgrew and became too big to be user friendly.

this should make it easier to find your possible buyer / seller in this thread

Stephsformula -
I ordered a ABS Plastic Headliner and visors covered in black vinyl.
She sent me a USED STOCK headliner with a patched crack and black vinyl with bubbles and wrinkles, it even smelled bad.
(She now uses the photo to sell her headliners like it's the fiberglass product, but it's really a stock headliner.)
I told her it was not acceptable so she offered me a fiberglass one, I had her send it with out the vinyl. I did not get a refund for the vinyl. I was too upset about how long it took and how poorly she communicated.
The fiberglass one is ok but really it's not very good. The visors were ok

I would not do business with her again.

it might help with the confusion.

Dougie Murder

i'm in arizona and he's all the way up there making ball-sweat-cicles in Ontario Canada And he's been the most pleasant person i've dealt with on this forum. He was very easy to talk to and quick to answer and ask questions (very important) to make sure the transaction would go without a hitch. The product came clean, packaged securly, on time (early even), and it even smelled like sweet raspberries when i got it ... okay ... that last bit may or may not have been a load of isht ... but to say it blunty the man is a damned good person and in any transaction that comes first on my list.
you could be selling a lamboguini for handful of change and you'd still have trouble selling the damned thing (forgive my blasphemy) get negative feeback if you were a jerk to your customer.
not only is Dougie Murder a damned good seller but he's also on my friends list .. and i expect he'll reside there for some time.

Second goes to FieroMonkey cause he got me started in the fiero business. Much love monkey ... long live the long-hairs!!!

I put a MINUS to Loyde Rascoe (FastFieros) because:

Our agreement with this individual was to deliver everything below within 2 months of the day of payment (5/9/2007).

He has delivered some of the items but not the major one (wiring harness).

When asked him to refund the rest of the money he said he is out of cash and he will try to deliver the harness. But he is failing to do so for months now asking for more time extensions.

I noticed that other people have the same problem with him and wait for 1-2 years!!!
You can verify that here:
https://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum1/HTML/069530.html
https://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum1/HTML/063442.html

I am not willing to wait for so long and i want my money back.

I ordered:
Cluster: $100
Flywheel: $50
PCM: $200
Harness: $1300 NOT RECEIVED
Shipping of cluster, flywheel & PCM to Greece: $30
Paypal commission: $52
Auto transmission parts: never received
Therefore: $2000 - $100 - $50 - $200 - $30 - $52 = $ 1568 is the amount he should refund me.

Have in mind that on Sept-2007 $1568 was: €1201 but today is: €998.
I am loosing €202 or $317 plus my time for items he can't deliver on the promised time.

Thank you.

Bought an IMSA rear spoiler from qwikgta.
Great price, communication, shipping (Greyhound - saved me $100!) and product - exactly as described.
Gave him a +, so I thought I'd mention it here, too.

Never got a + back, lol! Oh well.
