I have a couple of used Auto Dimming Mirrors with a built in Compass for sale.

The auto dim feature is not just like fliping the switch on stock mirrors, the dim depends on how much light hits it. IE a little light and it dims a little, a lot of light and it dims alot. It is a really cool effect. I got sick of being blinded by trucks so I put one in my GT, and it works great.

AND

It has a built in electronic compass, with digital readout.

For instalation you can tap into the overhead light for power and use the switch to turn it on and off, or run a wire down the A-piller and tap into an IGN sorce so it comes on with the key, like I did.

I want $48.95 each + $11 shipping to the US
and I like Paypal.

Here is the mirror "OFF"

With the compass on.

With it at almost full dim. (sorry about the blurry pic)

I put one of these in my Fiero from my oldsmobile, for the record, they're worth every penny... I've never had a flip mirror that quite got the mirror where I needed it, always had to adjust it after I flipped it. No worries with these.

Beyond that, you can actually still see detail behind you at night, not just big circles of light as per a typical mirror.

It has two sensors, one that points forward, and one that points backwards. It auto-dims when the light behind you is greater than the light infront of you. And, installation is cake, provided it has the right size slot for the metal tab on your windshield.

Can you tell us what brand they are?

A few years ago someone here was selling "no name" auto dim / compass / temp mirrors that quit working after only a few weeks.

Ah!
I stand corrected.
Gentex is among the best you can buy. Original equipment, etc.

I installed one in my Challenger. Auto-dim, compass and homelink. Works great!

Here is a vid of the dimming feature, you can see him moving away from the light sensor and it dimms. A cool effect. Same brand but different model. works the same just different styling.

<Sigh> I wish these had the HomeLink on them too... I may still be intested... Have to check the funds.

If these had the temp and/or homelink they would be selling for more, and the first one of those I get, if possible, I will put in my Fiero.

It will fit, but it is a little loose. For a perfect fit you can get a bigger button.
It will NOT fall off, if thats your thinking.

I have had one on my GT for 2 years now and I do not notice it. But I always look at my compass.

That's the kind I have; it was original equipment on a Cadillac. Works like a charm! Highly recommended.
