It only figures. I`m always a couple days late. Thanks. Just as a side note. I use to live in North Glenn off 104th and Grant Ave 30+ years ago. What was once a suburb of Denver. Its pretty much part of it now though.

I'm sorry, it was a crazy busy day at work on Friday, and I didn't get a change to run down to the molding shop. I know the screen printer is ready and waiting, I will go Monday.

People, give it a rest! Do you honestly think that Lori won't give an update when these are ready? Are you worried that she will forget about the windows if this topic isn't on the first page every day??

Exactly. This thread is filled with useless junk now. Some one new who sees this will not want to read through all this BS to find out the relevent information. That will force everyone to ask the same questions over and over again regarding price, availability, etc. That and your bumping new posts farther down the line. But atleast you guys are getting your post count up .

The pair I got were great. I do'nt know what the ones on eBay are, but I can wait for the perfect ones from Lori. I am very leery of anything for sale on eBay.

Lori's windows supposedly maintain the OEM shape and contour, whereas the reproductions are more flat and shapeless. To be fair, Doug's windows are the best of the repro's, but still lack that "Perfect" look and fit. The biggest drawback to all of them (except Lori's) is the rolled front edge is more of a beveled edge, not rounded. Many of us are so insistent on getting hers that we're standing in line here like old Russians waiting to get toilet paper. LOL!!

I'm going to assume this didn't happen as she anticipated.

I think its been to long, too many problems and who knows how much longer this will last. Im not trying to say these windows will never get to the point of production, I just can't wait any longer or bare to see my windowless fiero anymore ; ( I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE! I know I will probly regreat holding out but I have to get something on the side of my car. If it can't be these "exact replacements" then it will have to be the next best thing

Well, that is too bad for her because I bet she could have sold a ton of them at Daytona. I'll be needing a set soon so I hope they do work out. I'm in no hurry because I'm not driving the car so I'll wait a while longer.

I know everyone is getting tired of waiting for these, especially now since the season has started with the Daytona show. No one could be more frustrated than I am, and I certainly understand. Here is the latest information I have. Everything is ready to start production again, the material is in and ready, the screen printer is ready and waiting, the molds were modified and realigned, the routing fixtures were made. The only thing stopping production, is the clamping device used for the routing fixture. The ones they bought and thought were correct, were not big enough to hold the blanks, they were shifting when the machine routed the windows. Bigger ones were ordered and were supposed to be in on Thursday or Friday, but somehow got delayed, they are hoping they will be in first thing Monday morning. I have been considering legal action against the shop, but that is not my goal, my goal was and still is to provide a much needed product to the Fiero community. I choose this shop because they have a very well equipped shop, and have been in business for over 30 years, they have a very good reputation and I have seen some amazing things come from this shop. I do not believe they are deliberately holding things up, and they have a lot of money invested into this project as I have. What I believe happened is they thought this would be a simple job, and did procrastinate things for the first few months, and then rushed though the first batch (50 sets) not realizing how picky I am, or the Fiero community as a whole. When I rejected them and showed them why, they agreed with me. This didn't stop the fact that they and I had a lot of money invested at this point. The fact is they committed to making these windows as close to the factory windows as possible, and I still believe they can and will. I basically told them that I didn't want to see another window that was not right and didn't fit right, I didn't want to see another one that was "almost" right. At this point they are being very cautious, and I take the blame for this.

MsLori, thanks for your perserverence and thanks for insisting that these quarters come out right. I've been watching this thread for quite awhile now, and would not have been surprised if you had given up on this at some point. I doubt most people would stick with it through all the adversity you've run into, but it looks like you're seeing light at the end of the tunnel at this point.
I will be ordering a couple sets once everything gets up and running and your pre-orders are filled and you have a few sets done and waiting to ship.
