I would also like to know...My 88GT is just beginning to show signs of a couple VERY small cracks on the driver side 1/4 window. I just hope the cracks don't grow into a major eye-sore before too long! A friend of my son has an 88GT with both windows looking like spider webs and needs some replacements really badly.

My driver side window just went POP today and now it is held in just by the ends, I can stick my fingers through from one side to the other. I have one side split vertically and the other one is going horizontal. My passenger side shines nicely but I hope that crack does not keep growing.

Just read this whole thread from start to finish (yep, this is a project that is needed from the ammount of posts). I myslef has excellent originals on my car, but when i seen the red tinted ones i got excited. So i read, got excited as the projocet seemed to build to those first few pictures (still pretty!). Then the slow spiral down, and Up again, and down.. It seemed the thread was on an upword swing (and as somebody who would love a set of red tinted ones, I hope it is). All i can say is. I hope all this frustration (for Ms) doesnt drive her batty. and I'm impressed with ethe comunity.. I'm not sure i would be able to stay nice as long as they have (but I would sure try as I know there is no solution to the problems but the ones that have been taken). If it ever get to the point some of the colored tint ones come around I'm interested!

OK, guys I gotta say this. Forgive me for being sexist here, but come on!! Would you put up with this from a guy? The last post from Lori was April 10 or 11 I think. God help Archie if he did this! Why is this looooong wait, without information, without a weekly or so update and without any pix (in this oh so easy digital age) so acceptable. I'm in no way saying Lorie is trying to rip you off, but I really think a little more infos would be appropriate. I want some of these windows too, but I'm tired of getting private emails from a lot of you asking me what I think about what is going on. I'm defineitely believing she's honest but I have to say If a guy was doing this you guys would crucify him!! OK, Lorie, I'm ready - go for my jugular!!!

I'm sorry, I haven't had much time lately to spend on the computer. I have been in daily contact with the molding shop, and I have been pretty persistent, although, I'm sure they have a different word for it. My molding man was out to the shop today and told me they are working overtime to get as many by Friday as possible, and I still have to fill the orders already in. I am also going to put some of the blems out at the swap meet, and if anyone wants them, they can pick though them for the ones they want, they will be $100 a set.. All of the blems are usable windows, and if someone doesn't mind doing a little sanding and trimming, they could be good windows. The print shop seems to somewhat of a hold up, but I'm thinking they will come though also.
I will see some of you at the swap meet Lori

Nah, just put his order at the end of the line. Patience is a fine virtue. If he don't want to wait, he can get one of the other non-perfect ones........ Thanks for all your hard work Lori!! The rest of us appreciate it.

Sorry, I have spent so much on getting these made, the price will have to be $249 a set plus $18 shipping. These windows are so close to the original GM windows, that it would be hard to tell that they aren't GM windows.

Ending up to me to 336.00 CND $ at the end and if it's shipped by UPS will turn out to be another 40CND$.

Ouch! I picked up a set of Lori's blems at the swap meet. I'll try to install them this week and post some pix. I think all you guys that are worried about what's going on can put your fears to rest. The "blems" will require a little TLC around the edges before installation, but in my opinion they are better than anything I've seen other than the original windows, so I expect the final product will be outstanding - assuming she can get the man she's waiting for to finish the job soon.

I agree with Tom, the blems will work fine. I bought a set myself at the swap meet! If you order some blems, I suggest you order the tape kit Lori has. It is the same 3M tape that the factory originally used to mount the windows. I was able to meet with the supplier that Lori is using and had a long discussion about the methods and procedures that are going into the production of the final product. I believe that he is really trying to make these windows first class quality. He has had several obstacles to overcome in the process of getting these right. I believe he is close to the final product. Maybe as close as this week of having the first run. Many hours have gone into this product! Be a little more patient, you will be pleased with the final results!
Here's a couple of pix of the blems on my car. Sorry, I guess I don't know how to either use my camera or PIP to get these images to post without having to click on the icon. Also it is very difficult to take these pix becasue of the glare in my garage. I can take pix outside later on if necessary - right now the car is parked up on the lift.

If I'm wrong, perhaps Lori will chime in at some point and correct me. But all I see is that the edges need a little polishing and perhaps the edges may be a little too curved in a couple of places (not at all sure about that though) to fit flat against the 2-sided tape in some places. I trimmed a little in a couple of spots so the edges were flat enough to hook up solid with the 2-sided tape. Otherwise they are perfect. Lettering is right on, the curvature is correct, and the dot stuff is perfect as well. The only reason I would call them a "Blem" might be the minor fitting difficulty. But I'm sure when Lori gets done, they will be show quality perfect. I'm going to wait for a set of the tinted ones before I do a permanent install. I thought maybe I would want a set without the "GT" letters, but they look so good I'm going to keep them.

I also looked at them and talked to Lori. She is definitely trying for perfection. The blems looked very good. Be patient. Some of my products took a long lead time and some tweaking. I'm sure it will all work out in time.
