It was really nice to meet everyone, Thank You, Tom , Paul and Rodney. The blems will work for those that don't mind doing a little sanding and fitting. Some of them have a little too much curve in spots, and some don't have enough. Some were trimmed a little to short, some have the graphics a little off center, basically they weren't consistent when they made them, and I want consistent, and 1st grade quality. (I told you I was picky) For anyone that wants a set of the blems, contact me, they are $100 a set, and $20 for the tape kit, plus $18 for shipping. After the blems are gone, I do not plan to have any more. The 1st grade quality windows will have the tape supplied, I just can't afford to supply it with the blems. I didn't have a "set" of the tinted one there, I only had one side, and it was my "sample" window the molding shop made for me. the very first one made, and I want to keep it and hang it on my wall. I wanted everyone to see what the tinted ones will look like, and I did order some of them as well as the factory tinted ones.
Thank You Lori

Very nice Miss Lori But is it possible to have a clue when the real one are gonna come in ? Thank you.
I think Lori put it well when she said she was "depending on a man". She has no control over when it gets done, but is insisting on quality. They really are almost ready to go - could be done tomorrow or in 2 months, etc - it depends on the man in control. What more can we say to you guys?! We all want them yesterday, but if Lori gives us less than perfect I'm sure 90% of us will be unhappy. So be patient. That's my final 2 cents til they are ready.

Lori, you offered to send me blems and I'm tempted, but I just can't bring myself to send the money without a picture. I believe you mean well, but I don't want to gamble on having to send them back, and you didn't say they were returnable anyway. Thanks, Don

I kinda wish you had sent that to me in a PM, but since you didn't, here goes. In case you haven't heard of the swap meet the Fiero Factory puts on every April, you can check it out in general. This is not an event that I just attend, this is an event that I work, I put a lot of work into getting things ready for the swap meet and a lot of extra hours into it, so basically, I have been kinda busy lately. I have tried to describe what the blems look like, and have stated they were not consistent, some need some trimming and fitting, some were trimmed a little short, some have the graphics a little off center, so there are several reasons why they are blems. In order for me to send pictures, I would have to take the protective wrapping off of every one of them and take many pictures and send them to you. This is just not something I have time to do. I deliberately held on to these until the swap meet, so other people could see them and post their thoughts and experience with them and pictures, Tom Corey has a couple of pictures posted on some he got, so you can see what they look like. Blems are sold as blems because, well they are blems, aka, not perfect, blemished, something is not right with them and I assume people know they are sold AS IS, but in case someone doesn't know, the blems are sold AS IS,and sold below costs, meaning I won't replace them if someone buys them knowing they are blems and aren't happy with them. All of the blems I have offered for sale are usable windows for those that don't mind putting a little work into them and/or don't mind a little imperfection and want to save some money. They are better than not having any and better than having cracked ones on your car. If you are looking for perfection, the blems are not for you, please don't order them thinking they are.
Thank You Lori

Thanks for the reply, since I already made contact without a pm, here goes. My reasoning was that I sometimes make a mental picture out of words that is way off from the actual and even a picture is not as good as seeing the item in person. I hope that my first post didn't come off as criticizing you or your work.

Would anyone else like a set of the blems while I still have them?
Lori
Lori, I'm tempted but my problem is that West Fest is fast approaching out here in CA and I don't have a warm and fuzzy feeling that the regular production windows will be ready in sufficient quantity for a set with my name on them to get here. What does your crystal ball tell you? I'd hate to get a set of blems only to have the good ones become available just in the nick of time. Were it not for West Fest, I'd be content to continue waiting with the rest of the group for the good ones. BTW, West Fest is June 29th. Thanks, Marty

My first thought was "Holy Kwrap! These are the blems?!" They actually look as good as some other "finished products" that I've seen. When I looked a little closer, I did see some imperfections. But if I didn't already have a set from a year ago, I would have been tempted.
Just my $.03 (adjusted for inflation.)

Here are some blems installed in one of my cars, now keep in mind, you will need to do some sanding on the edges, once I saw the flaws in these, I stopped production, and they never were finish sanded, and I don't have the time to sand them, and I could not sell them for $100 a set if I did. I have a few sets left, so let me know if you want them, I will not have anymore blems once these are gone. Windows (blems) $100 a set Tape kit to install $20 for 2 windows Shipping is $18 Thank You Lori
Here is the area I am not happy with, there isn't enough roll in this area to make the window fit flush againt the car.

Here is a quick question: With the window not quite flush with the car, could air get behind of the window and whip it off the car while your driving? Thanks,
Josh

As long as you use the right tape and keep it under 200 MPH, I doubt it. You can actually use a heat gun and carefully roll the edge down, I did it on a couple of sets, so I know it can be done.

I am interested in a set of blemished ones because i need to just get this car sold with a good set on them. (not a full show car) what is the process to sanding these to get them to fit? Does shipping include shipping to hawaii if i trade for some hawaiian coffee? or an even trade lots of coffee for windows? just a thought?

you know. it would have been REALLY easy for you to just settle for the quality of the blems and just started producing them that way. A good number of people would have been very happy with them, and you would still have the nicest windows available. However there would have been some people left still wanting for perfection. I am so glad you pushed to have these done right, because I would have been one of those people still hoping for a near exact reproduction, thanks.

I want a set of the blems. I have the money in my paypal account. Currently my drivers side one is... Well, lets just say it is no longer in one piece on the car. The passenger side one is still fairly nice. I even have a set of spare plastic fastback window backings sitting around. If you still have them, I want a set I would not mind having one of those GT's in the background of your picture.

Robert, If I were going to send out blems and pass them off as good windows, don't you think I would have already sent you a set of them?

Sorry didn't think of it , but i've been waiting a long time for the real ones . Is it close to get them or i'll have to wait another five months ? I know it doesn't depend on you But around chrisrtmas time you had the blems too . and loks like nobody wanted them . And now cause the summer shows are pretty close everybody wants them Could it be cause they need the windows and the blems i'm sure are better than anything we have on our car presently If i was sure i was gonna get a real nice blem i woulsd take a chance But In funeral parlor they say my best customer are chance taker

Actually, several people did want the blems back around Christmas, I decided not to sell them at that time. I wanted the good windows out there first and I only agreed to sell them now, since I put them on display at the swap meet and let people decide if they would be willing to spend a little time on them and use them, several did, and I have had others request them also, and since it is the season and people need them more now than then, I will sell them. The molding shop isn't the holdup any longer, now my screen printer is having problems, he told me his help will be back on Monday, and they will get right on them. I know it is frustrating waiting and waiting, I am also waiting just like everyone is and I have a lot of money invested in this, (I ordered 100 sets)

I bought a set of the blems. I was thinking about it after I paid and I might send them to my dad and have him send me the ones he saved from a Junkyard GT. They look great and only for $100, I am all in for that.

Are all 100 sets spoken for? You mentioned on the phone that the tinted version has been ordered, but will come after the clear version. Can wager to guess how long that will be after the clear ones are released?

I did order 100 sets, but they will be made in 20 set batches, the tinted will be the 2nd batch. I just had to agree to purchase a minimum of 100 sets.

Just so you know, I will be needing another set. Hopefully I will be able to salvage my removed GT windows to fit a third GT I have. I might be needing two more sets. If you need to meet a sales quota to meet your order, let me know.
