I went there last week to see if they had a dash and she was there. They came out to look at the car and she laughed at my aftermarket sailpanels and said they were flat. she told me she was making exact replacements if i were interested....
LOL wow.......I would hold off on paying her for them. Just a hunch but you might have to wait a while to get them.

I'm one that's been silently following this thread for ages, but I figured I'd mention that if these are produced and selling within the next 6 months or so when I'm ready, I'll buy them, otherwise I'm just going to get the nicest "flat" windows.

If you don't mind the "flat ones".....here you are....
I almost wanted to jump, then I saw that the tint is mismatched, and being the perfectionist I am I'd always know it was uneven even if it was hard to tell and it'd drive me nuts. Also, mounting tape isn't included in that auction. I'll probably just wait until I'm ready to put them on then I'll buy non-blems. Thanks for the heads up though.

My money was refunded within 2 months of my ordering windows and then not getting them because I requested it since I didn't want to wait any longer. Was contemplating the blue tinted ones, and they would have been perfect since I decided on blue accents, but since I didn't have that option, I went with the window scoops type from Fiero Warehouse which we painted the same color as the car is. My daugher just painted her fiero blue, and the blue windows would be great, but she has a set of the replacement flat ones so will use those... My son wanted red accents on his fiero so might have went with the red set... but they aren't available... so he will have to use the very good set of OEM windows we have for his car.
This would have been 2 or even 3 sets of the windows we would have purchased... but it has been too long to wait and so we've had to make due with other options.

Does everybody here that have fully paid for the first batch (last december 2006) are still waiting for them or you have asked for a refund?)
Paid early this year, expecting prompt delivery. Still waiting. Have thought of requesting a refund, but.... At this point I have written it off as a loss. Perhaps I will be surprised one of these years, hope I am not too old to install them, if they come.

I paid for the first set. Production standards were not uniform. Some very good ones were made. Very good. To get that far is an achievement. I am still waiting and am good with it. Good things take time.

I called the Fiero Factory last Friday; she was not there but the lady I talked to provided me with an email address I didn't have previously. I wrote to Ms Lori, and she responded a couple hours later. I'll sum up what she said, since she said to tell everyone she's sorry for not updating more often.
She said the good windows have been at the printing shop for over two months; the printer is the only one who can do the job since a special jig is needed due to the curved surfaces. Unfortunately, the guy is elderly and has become ill and that has become the holdup. None of the other shops she tried would do them due to the curvature. She went on to promise a new update soon.
I mentioned in my email that no one really minds the delays assuming the windows are as good as we've been told they would be; its just a little reassurance that she is still alive that people want. Having not posted since July (and I doubt she's even looked at this thread since then either) people are justified in being worried/impatient/angry or whatever. I got the impression from the receptionist at the Fiero Factory that I wasn't the first caller, either. Hopefully this promised new update will come soon and be good news.
Does anyone have pictures of her New Windows installed in her car yet? If somone does can you P.M. me a picture. I am wondering if they are truely an exact reproduction, you know with the rolled edges and the dot matrix.

I bought a set of the first batch blems. They look good enough to me though I only unwrapped one. I have not installed them as I may need them for my preferred GT (not knowing if something might happen and no more could be had). I am taking them to the Rockin Red River Ruckus Road Rally to show everyone her good work. I am sure there will be some pics in the recap thread.

I know it has been a while since I have updated this, I have my reasons for it that some of you wouldn't understand, but some will. The truth is the molding shop delivered 25 sets of windows to the print shop over 2 months ago to be printed. They are still not printed. My screen printer is elderly and "old school" which is the main reason I choose him. He will not do anything second quality. He has become ill lately and hasn't been able to work much, and his employees have not been trained to do something "special" like this. They know how to do the average screen printing, but not what I need. When I first started this project I spoke to many different screen printers and there was one other person that told me he could do this special printing, most screen printers wouldn't even try. It takes a very special person and talent to print on a curved surface. I am very fond of my screen printer (Jim) as a person, I feel he is one special person in many ways and I am the type of person that takes loyalty very serious. I have 2 other options, (1) I learn to do them myself, (2) I contact the other person that told me he could do them, although this other person is a competitor to Jim, and kinda considered "the enemy" and out of loyalty to Jim, I have not contacted him as yet, but I will be contacting him this week, and it really bothers me to have to, but this project will go on, and business is business. So people "please" bear with me on this, one way or the other, I will continue. And please pray that my very special friend Jim gets better.

Thanks for the update Lori. I am with Cliff on this. I said a long time ago that I was in no hurry and it is still true. Jim is in my prayers. Friends are hard to come by so it is worth standing by him. Over here you get a much better sense of the relativity of time. There is no need to rush as life slips away so fast on its own. We are all excited about your project. I for one hope you never get discouraged to the point that you do not keep creating new and interesting baubles for our cars. You have an excellent track record and I expect no less on this endeavor.
A great musician that I have a lot of respect for sings about desire and how we so easily get wrapped up in it. "Need is a relative thing these days. It borders on desire. The high-tech world full of bright shiny things we think that we really require. Sometimes more than others, you see who and what and where you are. I am a one man band with no immediate plans. Tonight I just need my guitar."
Get well Jim! MAJ James F. Carlisle S9, Civil Military Operations Officer 3rd BCT, 3ID, Iraq

Just to let everyone know. I took a day off from my "real" job this week and went to the print shop and picked up everything we could find there regarding this window project, and took it all to a different print shop. The man in charge there assured me, that he could do this "custom" printing, although I have not received a quote yet. I have a good feeling about this shop, he seemed very professional and made me feel comfortable in what he could do, and offered references, he has done the dot matrix edges on windshields which have more curves than these quarter windows have.He is also aware of my situation about the amount of time (and money) I have invested in this project and told me that he would get right on it. This person was actually the person that was in charge of the first print shop I was using when I started this project but left that shop soon after I gave them the job, and has started his own business. He did tell me that he would make his own "jig" for these and probably not use the one the other shop made, which I expected, but I did pick it up also from the first shop. Most people that do custom work will almost always have a different idea or a different way on how to do something. I truly hope he gets these done soon, the stress of this project is wearing me down and I know all of you that have waited so patiently on me are also tired of waiting. I will be honest, if I had known from the beginning that this project would take this long and cost this much and been this frustrating, I never would have started it, but I did, and I just don't give up easily.
Ever thought of selling the non silk screened windows. I would be interested because it would be easy to paint just like when you paint a lexicon body from a r/c car paint on inside and outside looks awsome!!! make cool designs and paint the design on the back to show through the front.

For anyone wanting a set of blank windows, with no graphics, let me know and I can pull some out of the next batch before they go to the printer.

OK, here is the latest. The molding shop delivered 25 sets of windows to the print shop this week. The print shop will start printing them on Monday. For those of you that wanted a blank set, (without graphics) I need for you to let me know now, so I can pull some sets out of the batch, please email me here, Fierosolutions@aol.com The blank sets will be $200 a set + $18 shipping, and will include the correct tape to install them with instructions. For those of you that have waited so patiently, it's almost over.
Thank You Lori
These went to the print shop back in July. Has anyone gotten a set? If so, can you post pics?
