It may just be the picture, but it looks almost like the top edge as it aproaches back curve is either not convex as the rest of the windown should be, but either flattens out or starts to concave. Like the top window edge follows the pink line in curvature when it should be more like the green line. Again, it is a small pic and difficult to see, and it could just be tricking my eyes. I guess like so many others, I am eager to see a trimmed piece up close. God I hope these things are dead on!
I don't own a fastback Fiero currently, but I am sure I will again some day. I am curious why this question has gone unnoticed? The pic is a little tough to see some of the finer details. But I for one can see what he may be talking about. I would want an answer and some better pics before sending off money for a set. Not trying to upset anyone.

I appreciate seeing the product as it is being updated. I realize that we are seeing the rough product as it is being developed, thus I think it is extremely unfair to question the work in progress, if we continual to question and speculate, then the result is we will see nothing until the final product is finished.
As for the question on curviature, I do not expect to see a finished product until the product is fully cut out and the edges are molded and smoothed, then and only then would seeing a single unit on a flat surface would I feel a question should be answered.
Once again I appreciate being updated with the process as it goes through the stages, I will reserve any and all questions when you are finished.
As from what I can see and comparing them to the originals which I can compare them too, excellent work, give yourself a pat on the back, best I have seen from anyone and I have seen all the aftermarker ones.
I don't see a problem in the picture. What you're looking at is the excess stock of the sheet that would be trimmed away. I'm sure the sheet starts out flat , the only molded part is that of the window itself , then as she says , it is then trimmed off , carefully. Good work Lori. I would like to see a work in progress picture of a dark smoke tinted one.
Just to let everyone know that we are serious, here is a picture, this one is one of the scraps, it didn't get into the mold just right, the rest of the ones came out great but are at the print shop waiting for the graphics. Just wanted to keep everyone updated.
Lori
I would be interested in a set like this.... Without that DOT Matrix stuff. Any word on a final price yet?

Holy moly, your product has us all sitting on the curb like a bunch of kids waiting for the ice cream truck to come around the corner, with great anticipation, enthusiasm and a real big smile : ) I wait too... Have you figured out how much your going to sell a set for (reasonable we hope* )? I have a set of the other vendors in a box waiting to go back on ebay. So I guess we're all wondering what are you going to do to top this project? Maybe GT rear lenes* wink wink (reasonably priced*). Thanks again for your service to our fleet! BTW, sign me up for a set too!

If you want a nice set of GT tail light lens, please contact the Fiero Store, they are selling them made from the original dies. I had a set of them in my hands yesterday, and they are exactly like the original tail light lens, and even have the DOT numbers on them that they had from the factory. I highly recommend them.
We plan on having these windows on the market before the 1st of april. I think we have everything taken care of now, I ordered the shipping boxes today.

The factory quarter windows on the '86-88 GT are made of cast acrylic (not Lexan as stated by some suppliers, including GM!
Hi Lori,
Yeah, I've tried to debunk the polycarbonate myth a few times over the past few years and judging by some of the other postings here it hasn't worked, so whatever...
A buddy of mine used to work for Rohm and Haas and had a hand in the development of the original acrylic. He was always interested in how my windows were holding up. The UV was his biggest concern.
So what is your connection to the original GT windows? How is it that you come by an original GM window after it came out of the mold. Did you have something to do with the original development?

In your original post, you had mentioned about custom graphics...? Since the company you originally began the project with (changed their quote etc) would custom graphics still be an option...? and if so, what are the choices ? (Im interested in a set either way, just curious)

I had no connection to the original windows, but before starting this project, I did a lot of research and talked to a lot of people, and there were some that were willing to share their knowledge about them with me. I just came from the shop doing the molding, and they have molded a few of them for me, everything seems to be on schedule except they seem to be having a problem with dust collecting and sticking on them before they are cooled enough to remove from the mold, but he said he has that problem figured out, and that should be the last problem. (I hope) I went ahead and had the most common graphics made, these will be available in addition to or instead of the GT emblem for $10 more, and those are.
3.4 3.8 3.8 SC Supercharged Turbocharged or just Turbo 4.9 or any combination of those
We also bought several different tints for those that want something different. We will offer them in the original green tint, clear, smoked, red or blue. After adding everything up that we have to pay for, the price for these will be $229.00 a set plus shipping, the red and blue tint will also be an additional $20 to cover our cost as we do not buy as much of that as we did the green. I hope this answers everyone questions, if not please ask.

We all are. Sorry for the delay everyone, seems to be a problem with the molding, but I have been reassured the problem will be taken care of. But since we are a small company, the big company's get first priority, but hopefully it will be any day now. We have a lot invested in this project, so it will happen, I just can't say what day at this time.
I hope I'll have 230 bucks sent to you soon... One question, though: will the clear be the closest in tint to the other, untinted four windows? I'm assuming it will be.

Will you have any type of picture for the blue tinted ones? Or maybe just a picture of the glass with blue tinting, not necessarily a completed set? I'd like to see just how dark or light the blue coloring will be. Thanks!
