The scoops are sold as a set. $360 + 50 shipping.

The complete set costs $1860 + shipping.

Today the complete shipment was brought back. The paperwork that I was given for the shipment was wrong. The customs office in Frankfurt rejected it. On Monday I'll go to the customs office again and see what was wrong. I got the paperwork from them so I don't know how it could be wrong.
I am really sorry about this and will get it solved ASAP.

So I guess the side scoops came down in price $10.

Do you have any closer shots of installed scoops? I saw this one on your first page:

It looks like that opening is quite large, are there any problems with things (leaves, small mammals) entering? Is there a recommended grille or mesh for it otherwise?

I don't know what everyone is recommending for the openings, but when I get mine in I planned on using stainless mesh for the vents and on the back side molding in some functional ducting. 1 for an air intake to the engine, the other routed to an oil cooler. Has anyone else made these functional? I also would like to know what was used for screening, and how it was done... Sounds like the begining of another thread

I'm going to use some of the black aluminum mesh I got from Summit. The same stuff I used for the grille for my 355 nose. After I made the nose grille, I had enough to do both the side skirts and the scoops. I was able to make a posterboard template, cut the mesh a little wider, the hand-formed the mesh around the openings. The aluminum bends pretty easily. I'll put them in permanently with adhesive or caulk after I paint the pieces.

Sorry about that.

I don't know of anyone that has had problems with foreign matter hanging in the scoops. Most of the people I know like to use a mesh screen to cover the inside of the scoop opening. I too am planning on making the passenger side scoops functional when I install my 3800sc by putting the intercooler rad right behind the opening. The driver side will be functional from the begining because of my WCF CAI install.

Sorry I don't have any pix of the scoops with grills. I'll see if I can get some and then post them.

When I do my installs of the pieces I'll be doing picture How To's for them. I keep hoping that the people I have sold the skirts and scoops to will post some pix but no luck so far.

I have some Aus Fiero side scoops on mine. A lot like yours. I also have them functional and have some mesh over them, don't know the technical term for the stuff, it is the diamond cutout steel. Will post some pictures over the next few days when I get a chance.

I also have an intercooled 3800 in mine. The drivers side is where the air cleaner is (sealed off so nothing but cold air) and on the passenger side I have a radiator for the intercooler. BUT. As a tip, only use it as a secondary radiator. You do not get enough air flow through that area to be completely effective. I have a primary radiator up front ( a Honda CBR600 motorcycle engine radiator) and then a secondary (Ford Probe heater core, just fits perfect in that area) in the passenger scoop area. Again, do not just use the passenger side area for your primary radiator. You will NOT get enough airflow to cool it sufficently.

David

Well I found out what happened with the shipment being rejected. There is some kind of special customs tax ID I have to have to ship out of Germany. I wish they would have told me this a month ago when I was there asking about shipping the boxes. Now I have requested the customs ID and will reship as soon as I have it.

No damage at all. You did a supperb job with the packaging. I am going to be taking a lot of pics here in the near future and will be starting a thread for them. You can place a safe bet that the scoops will be included in the pics.
Thanks again

So my day has officially been strait up awesome. I get a raise at work, and come home to find my scoops waiting for me. Unfortunately I won’t be able to put them on anytime in the near future, but I couldn't resist a few pictures.

I'm quickly learning that

1) Fiberglassing is a lot of work
and
2) I hate fiberglassing.

In the event I don't get my scoops finished, how long does it take to go from payment to delivery? a month? Can I save 3% by shipping an international money order vs paypal?

The banks over here don't recognise M.O.'s Sorry. You don't pay the 3% per PayPal, I do.
Delivery time is 3 - 4 weeks because I have a set here at the moment and can send them immediatelly. If I have to order them it takes 5 - 6 weeks.

Time for an update. I called the Finance & Tax office today. They are working on my papers now. They have promised me that I will have the number by the first of next week. I sure hope so.

One happy Fiero owner got his package today!
My package was halted to, because all the rest was going to the US.
But within EU there is no need for that missing tax-number.
Despite all the truble/delays, Fiero1Fan came through. (Not his fault though)

Thank's Fiero1Fan !!!

P.S.
Even though i had the accident with the deer a month ago, i had already orderd and payed the nose in April.
So i didn't go ahead in line.
I hope the rest of you get your stuff soon. This one looks nice!

Are you reffering to the once mounted on the car, or the once that i got with the new nose?

EDIT: PM me your adress, and i will find out how much sending them would cost.
You do realize i live on a different continent..?
(Can't you find those closer to home? )

This is killing me! I really would like to get my car painted BEFORE the summer ends, but it looks like it won't be until next year. Oh well. It may have been faster for me to have my family in Germany pick it up and mail it to me FedEx. Oh well. I'm not mad just VERY disappointed, but appreciative none the less.

I know what you mean Jax and I really am doing my best. It really won't be much longer. I should have the number any day now.
I am sitting here with all these pieces but don't even have one for my car yet. It is very frustrating but we are making progress.

I am praying that I'll be able to get them out this week. The stuff with the Finance office (tax numbers) should have been finished last week but I haven't received anything in the mail yet. I called on Friday to ask if they were finished and could maybe give me the number over the phone. The guy on the phone got very quiet for a second and then told me that it is confidential information and would NOT be given out over the phone. I then asked him if everything was finished. Same answer. I almost lost my cool but I just thanked him for his time and hung up. Government bureaucracy (sp?) is just a killer sometimes.

When these finally do get shipped, will we have any type of tracking number where we can follow the packages delivery process?

Yes there is a shipping #. It won't be able to be tracked like with UPS but we can follow them and I will be doing that at least once a week.
