I did make a suggestion about someone helping him finish them earlier in the thread. Thing is he'd have to actually COMMUNICATE with someone here for that to happen. I'm certain that some people would help him if he asked. Especially if he'd asked B4 he Pissed everyone off!

Actually I think it could STILL happen. If Andrew wanted it to.

Andrew, First off myself I have never seen your work other than photo's, and everything looks beautiful you have a real talent.

I run my own business also and when I take money for product I know I have a deadline to get the product to my customers, If I'm doing research then it follows another rule. From what I read in the posts you tend to have problems come up when you take preorders with prepayments. If I was in your shoes I would only offer products that are ready to ship and do not accept prepayments for product not ready for shipment this would keep you out of trouble. In most types of business all we have is our name... our reputation our product is second!

We have a lot of mixed feelings here about all this but communication is the key... When people pay for a service most have very little understanding for delays, it's hard enough to keep customers interested while R&D is going on but after payment is made forget it.

Look at GM… they talked so much about the Solstice they lost a lot of business that went out and bought the S2000, Miata, and the Z3 while the customers were waiting.. and now with the Camaro......the same thing. So even the Big Dog can get into trouble most of the time......How do they keep in business….

The Key is Communication!!

The truth…. You’re a business, know one cares how your doing… as a business you should never have any problems… your customers should never see your backstage……

As a customer I’m sure you have seen two employees complaining about something in front of you about their work or a manager correcting an employee in front of you… This is a business no no. Your business should be problem free to your customers… If its not.. it can cause problems.

Your badges need to be sent out as you stated in your contract, polished and ready to install… That’s when and how you took the cash…

As a person I’m sure most of us are sorry to hear your problems and wish the best for you.

Sorry this post is so long but… Just needed to state this.

Good luck,

Vince

You have gotten NO response and when you do, it is some bull$hit reason for not producing the windows. Here is one of the FEW members who have helped me and other members and offered me his help with items, graphics, and parts. The fact that he has even mentioned issues about health, his house, or otherwise should be reason enough to leave him alone. I'm sure you will get your badges when everything is sorted out.....in the meantime, be patient. He is a great member who has been around for a long time and I am sure he has his reasons ( or some we all may not understand ) for the delay. In the meantime, it has been 3 months since he offered the product. I know there are a lot of members who have received the product and are very happy. As for bothering Cliff about this, he should be left out and maybe you should look at Ms.Loris thread on her supposed windows that were $300.00 per set and see what a true bull$hitter is all about.

So what you're saying is until Andrew surpasses Lori's rip-off........ ........he's an OK guy?

I don't agree......

I really don't know him personally, but at LEAST he gave some explanation of why he is late on sending these....unlike the window deal that has more excuses than anything I have ever heard. But I do understand the frustration of a lack of communication when purchasing ANYTHING.

I really don't know anything about the window deal with Lori. Have people already paid her and not received them as well? My understanding just from reading other threads about them was that everyone was waiting for them to be available to buy.

the difference between the Lori crowd that hasn't received theirs and those of us waiting on this order is (as has been stated a ton of times) ---- Andrew is STILL SELLING ON EBAY AND ANSWERING QUESTIONS ON THE EBAY AUCTIONS WHILE IGNORING US.

Pretty simple the difference there....unless Lori is selling other products and answering questions about them.

At least the ones on Ebay exist. If you look at each item, it will say something like "16 available" in the listing. We bought these badges before they were available. Lesson learned -- won't do that again.

Yeah....it was a thread that lasted 4 days in October. I think everyone saw the writing on the wall. I actually commented on how she should finish one project before starting another and I got a smart ass answer back.

I have tried to call him and I have left messages with his wife and family. I have e-mailed him, I have messaged him through EBay and got a response, nothing too helpful though. So I have figured I have been too nice, so I have filed a Dispute with EBay for a unrecieved item. If he doesn't respond in 10 days to the Dispute and resolve it, EBay WILL terminate his account and he WILL be forced to either provide a refund or the product. I bought mine off EBay to cover myself, just incase something were to happen. I am sure I speak for everyone when I say I am tired of waiting for something I have paid for and haven't recieved. It would be a different story if he would respond to e-mails and this forum and keep everyone up to date, it doesn't look good on his part because he took peoples money and ran.

His last post was a month ago (1-8-08) He must still be working on them. THAT is why he has no time to come here & "chat".
It doesn't seem to be hurting his ratings though. ??????????????

We do trade i work and help and he fix my car and give me pieces .
I couldn't find really a place to put it on my car , due to the rarity specially around here think it would had been stolen very fast therefore breaking all they can to take it off the car .

I have the 3 piece seperate version without the back plate so the color of whatever you would put it on would shine through. I'd sell mine to the highest bidder by Friday evening that can pay via paypal. Mine is beautiful, but just sitting while I wait for my car. He might have everything back on track by the time I get my car back. I don't have to sell, but don't want anyone else to get caught in an unknown wait period if you want to have it installed before show season.

Hope he makes things up to everyone who had an unfair wait. He did on his last set of badges.

PS - I don't need/want them gone bad enough to E-bay them. Just offering an option to fellow PFF'ers who want a safe and fast transaction.

Greg

That might be an unfortunate thing to happen at this stage. At least whilst Andrew is still able to post, should he so choose to do, you have some kind of contact available. If he were to be banned now, that could be all he needs to say ' They want me gone, more than they want their badges..so be it...'
Andrew DOES have a troubled passage through life. He tends to keep quiet about it, and tries to work his way through. He DOES usually manage to make things right eventually.I just hope that things aren´t THAT bad for him at the moment.
As far as the badges on eBay are concerned, I am lead to believe they are long-standing ads, that run for weeks or months at a time. and they appear to be badges he had made quite some time ago. he probably had quite a lot left over, because the place that makes them have a hefty order quantity requirement, in order to keep the prices as low as possible.
I would really love a couple of these, for my respray job I am doing on my Fiero. Chose the wrong time to do it, didn´t I?
Andrew, just one final thing here..I devised a way to polish 4 at a time...email me, and I will explain how to do it
Nick

I dont want to hear about his troubles though life, and quite frankly, I dont give a **** either. I got my own. If he can still happily conduct business on ebay, life must not be too bad.

There is no excuse for taking our money, nor will there ever be one. I guess theres no point in posting anymore. PayPal wont do anything, Police wont do anything, and looks like he's not going to get bannned either. Dont you just love it when scam artists get away with it, kinda makes you wonder why we dont do it ourselves.

Oh yeah, thats because Im not a thief, and I have self respect.

Bump b/c this needs to be brought back to attention in the mall again.
Great thread going in GFC, but still needs to be brought back here as well.

Maybe (lol) Andrew is reading something on PFF and will see one of these threads.....
ahhhhh.......nevermind about that thought. He clearly don't give a sh!t any more about us.

UNBELIEVABLE

There really is nothing else that can be said, is there?

Wish someone had the ba-ls to go over to his place for us. Notify the local authorities, inform them of what has happened (show them the threads here on PFF if needed) and have them go with you.

This IS fraud. Mail fraud IS a FEDERAL OFFENSE.

Does NO ONE who bought one of these live in the same area as him? I know that some haveposted that they live nearby, but NONE have offered yet to do anything for us. The police WILL HELP. I have spoken to a local officer here who siad it was very simple to ask an officer to go with you to his house.

PLEASE! SOMEONE????????

First, I have to say that it is hard for me to visit this thread. I had a feeling that it would look like this, which is one of the reasons for my avoiding it. I guess the first thing I want to address is the comment about a "new car" courtesy of this thread- no, I sold the yellow Fiero on eBay and used that money for the car. One of the things that happens when I go through this "phase" is that I look for things to change somehow which lead to the selling of the car. Does this actually change things? Well, sort of but it's a short term adjustment that doesn't last long. My thinking was that if I had something new or different that it would somehow change how I was feeling inside- kind of like scratching at a rash thinking that doing so will make it better...

I've been hesitant to share what I've been going through for many reasons. The first is that I really don't quite understand why around this time of year something happens that causes me to go into a deep depression. Not something that I want to share with the world but maybe doing so will help me move forward. Isolating at home is something that I do quite regularly, and more so in the winter. I haven't been visiting the forum, reading or posting here for a while. The main reason is the guilt associated with "if you can do that then you can work on the emblems." As an isolator, taking that away just made things worse.

There have been only a couple of people that I've tried to share what I've been experiencing with. Putting this out there means exposing myself in a way that opens me up to criticism, judgment, possibly sympathy... none of the things that I wanted to throw into what is already a cauldron of crap saturated with more things than I could understand. This Sunday was the first time in quite a while that I've done anything "social" outside the house. I've missed family birthday parties because I couldn't be in a group of people- even those that I've known for 20 years.

Working on the emblems is something that has been hard for me to face until the past few days. There's an obsessive part of me that wants them to be the best that they can be but the problem is that knowing that I've been having a hard time getting them "perfect" has made it harder to start. One of the things that I've learned in the meetings that I've been attending over the past three weeks is that it is common for people who are depressed to look at a daunting task and chose to avoid it or give up because they don't want to expose themselves to more disappointment or discouragement. This has been tough. I know that from this point forward I've damaged any kind of reputation I had here. I know that I've disappointed a number of good people. I know also that there have been a few people who have called, some repeatedly, wanting to talk or help. Please don't take it personally, but I didn't want to talk- to anyone. Not to Linda, not to a priest, not to a friend, not to a relative, not a parent, not to anyone. So, what's different today? I have no idea. I do know that I've tried a different approach to working on the emblems, which is to get them polished as best I can and leaving the final polishing to another day. This way, I don't feel the same pressure that I've been putting myself under for a while now, and I can do all the fine work at once which means greater consistency.

The only thing that will make this happen any faster involves my just doing it. Absolutely nothing else will make a difference because if it were that simple, these would have done a lot sooner. As it is right now, I've got 6 sets of emblems that are close to being done, and the two IMSA emblems that I need to get to Troy just about ready to go- one of them is perfect and wrapped and ready. I can tell you that the night Linda got home from work and saw my face covered with gray smudges was a good day for both of us. She knows that this is an issue, and has offered to help in any way she can, but there's nothing that she can really do. The one thing that has been a great help was that she has stood by me knowing what I've been going through and has supported and encouraged me to do what I'm doing now to try and fix this. Like I said in one of my emails, I know that there's going to be a day in the not so distant future that I'm going to wake up and be full of energy and excitement and like a light switch, this will be a fuzzy memory. Until then, I'm working on an action plan and trying to make things right. The garage is really cold right now so I don't plan on even trying to work on them tonight. There's nothing more frustrating than getting to the point where you're almost finished and the part flies out of your hand and bounces off the wall into something somewhere which creates a nice deep scratch or edge ding that ruins it or makes you have to start over to try and fix the problem.

I clicked on the link where someone was thinking of doing something different/similar... OMG! From what I saw there, what I've done so far should be some kind of indication to the level of perfection that I put into what I do. I think this will be a first for me but here goes- when I do something, I put my absolute heart and soul into it. Whether it's something as simple as a sig for someone, I take what I do seriously and use the skills that I have to make it the best I can. I've had a couple people contact me about sending them the CAD files for what I've spent a lot of time putting together so they can make these things. THIS WILL NEVER HAPPEN. Anyone who really knows me will tell you that I am one of the most giving people out there, doing things for others without wanting anything in return.

Sorry this has taken so long, I can honestly tell you that this is not the way that I had imagined this would happen and if I did, I would have waited until it was over. As a result of this though, I also know that this will be the last project I work on here. I'll finish this but because of this mess, the damage has been done and I don't see how I can hold my head up here anymore. Please know this: all of these will be completed and sent out. Hate me, call me names, call a lawyer, give me a neg... whatever, before I start anything else this will be my first priority. After this, I'm done putting myself in this kind of situation again. Just to make it plain and simple, from this point forward, I am giving no one the right to reproduce anything unique that I've designed unless it is for personal use. There's probably a good chance that somethings will show up on eBay or elsewhere, but the damage has been done here for any future projects.

Sorry to have let some of you down.

I had a feeling the thread in GFC would make you come back around. I dont believe the "isolation" that you claim to have. You happily replied to eBay communications, whether to buy or sell, hell - you even bought another car. If you didnt even want to talk to your friends of 20+ years, what are you doing in a councel group with a bunch of people whom you dont even know?

Anyway, what I think really doesnt matter. Im just glad your beck to communicating to us, and that you will get these done for us. I agree when you say that your business is pretty much done here, it may not even be an option for you again even if you tried.

Your best bet is to update us on a regular basis, and answer any questions some may have. Once you get these done and out of the way, you will feel better about what has happened. Just make sure to communicate from now on.

Andrew -

You are HONESTLY telling us that you could communicate with people buying your stuff and you buying others on eBay but NOT with US?????????

Sorry --- not buying it.
Please just send me my 3 that I ordered and don't worry about polishing them. I want to make sure I get mine before you decide not to talk to us again.

So you have decided to communicate again...BIG DEAL! How long will this last?
You could have just dropped a reply that simply said "Working on them" that would have at least let us know you hadn't completly disappeared. You communicated with others on eBay. It is NOT that hard to have posted a reply to us.

We all have our problems, and depression is very near to me as many I love and cherish have had it....so I STILL CALL BS on you not responding to us.

I will expect all 3 of my badges in a timely fashion.
Sorry - waaaaaaaaaaaaay too late for forgiveness.
