With a choptop, it all depends on your build. I am 6', but my legs are longer than average. I fit fine even with a ballcap on. I chopped my own car and I have driven an Archie chop. I've seen guys shorter than me that cannot fit. The biggest difference in the chop vs. stock is the B pillars. They lean in, and that is where it seems smaller than stock. Getting in and out is where you notice the most. When driving and trying to look over your left shoulder to pass or change lanes, it feels different, but not uncomfortable. If you are considering a chop, go find a Solstice or Sky. They are smaller inside than a choptop Fiero. If you fit, you will be fine. If you want 100% comfort, buy a Lincoln!
I did a bunch of calculating & according to my calculations, it would reduce headroom by 3".
You can lower the seat rails to get .75" back for a net of 2.25".
Archie
LOL! in all seriousness though I've had a 6'4" guy sit in my car and manage to get comfy In the driver's seat [once he got there! very funny watching him get in lol]. It was tight but he did have a little headroom. You may make it at 6'6" depending on how you have the seat adjusted

Yeah, I sat in the PPE just after Rich Warber had passed. Rich was a short guy and probably had done nothing to the seat and @ 6"4" I was not comfortable at all.
Not long after that I sat in the GBCT just after DL10 bought it because he is a tall guy like me and I had all the headroom I needed to sit up straight and tall.

hi everyone, a little about myself I have owned my first 85 notchback fiero for about 2 years now, i have slowly been reading up on most subjects here and definately will be doing big changes to the fiero, i have bought the 3800 II s/c engine and am waiting to serve my last 30 days in the military to begin a long process of trial and error. I will definitely chop my fiero. So long story short, Archie, i'd have you chop my fiero but live to far from you , if you consider selling any more DIY kits you can be sure that i will buy the kit from you.
Let me bump this from the dead. I really want a chop top. I have a friend whos handy with a welder, how hard is it to do? If we can figure out how to use paypal bill me later, my poor self would be all over it.
