I got one of these a while ago and let me tell you, it works great! I use it every day and makes driving my car so much easier. I'm just wondering if there is anything that I can do to extend the range a bit.

Thanks,
Paul

One trick i was taught for increased rrange (if you dont beleive in cancer causing radiation) is to put the remote under your chin when pressing the button. Temple also works. Turns your skull into an antenna.

Also use name brand batteries. Energizer or the like.

Yes it does work. Mine usually works from about 25steps away. When im in a hurry i use the head trick and can get it usually from my front porch as opposed to the gate. My lock solenoid is sticking but with fresh batteries it'd work better.

This? Also, so you send wiring instructions? Where is everyone placing the black box?

The remotes are used good condition remotes. They are not brand new and I check everyone before I send them

The best place to put these is above the lock unlock relay under the dash.

Hey Matt,

Hooked everything up yesterday and at first nada. Then just programmed the remotes and only the Unlock button works. I will go back and check all my connections, but any idea what might be up? Thanks.

I have the exact same issue - only the unlock button and trunk pop (85, hence yellow/black) works.

Anybody had this issue and a remedy for it?

Sure is.
Tested for output while pushing the "Lock" button, no signal on any wire. Everything else works.
