I have been reviewing all of the posts regarding installing an OEM 8 and 3 pigtail RKE on our cars. One question. Do we unplug the power lock relay and leave it unplugged after tapping into the blue and black wires or do we plug the connector back in to the relay?

I picked up one of these units out of a 95 Firebird and am waiting for new remotes to be delivered. Thanks to all of you who put time into figuring out the wiring for the rest of us!

no you leave the fiero relay plugged in. you use the wire splices on the wires for the hookup. usually takes me about 35 min to get it in the car.

FYI
I will have 3 more kits available after the 10th.

Ah, thank you. I currently have an aftermarket keyless hooked up in the same place with splices. Connecting this should take about 15 minutes! Looking forward to removing all of the aftermarket added on relays, wires etc and connecting a reliable, self contained factory unit.

Thank you for sharing this modification with all of us. Much appreciated!
