I paid for a nose facier from ED Parks (great condition too)and $880 to get it to Australia
Wow, it's tough to be a Fiero enthusiast in Austraila...I bought this fascia not only because it was cheap it was only a couple of mile from my house.
ExoticSE - it's getting exciting now that I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. It was over two years ago when I wrecked this car and it's life as a daily driver ended. But it's new life will be even better....
Typical Houston Rush hour type accident where traffic stops quicker than 18 year old brakes can deal with. I slid up under a big truck. Didn't leave a scratch on the truck, and he took one look at my car and sent me on my way.
The car drove away fine, but my Archie 4 core radiator was leaking, the front 1/3 of the hood disintegrated, the hood hinges were sheared off. The hood catcher bolts saved the windshield though. The left headlight bucket disintegrated, and bent the stucture underneath.
I had the radiator repaired and with the exception of that and paint, I have repaired all the damage myself. I'm sure an insurance company would have totalled it. But I didn't have full coverage anyway.
that'll look great when it's done , what else is going on?
Thanks...
My Painter took the doors off because that's how he's used to painting steel cars. Unfortunately, I did all my wiring myself for the power windows and locks and none of them have connectors, so everything is cut. It will take me a month of Sundays to re-wire everything. Looks kind of like a DeLorean without the doors on huh?

I was planning to unveil mycar completed at Daytona 2006 but I missed that deadline. I'm not sure when it will be unveiled... I could be persuaded to show it right now if there is any interest????? ------------------

Wow! What a beauty! I like the color. Can't wait to see the new wheels, as it definately could use them. The ones on there aren't bad, but they're just not for this car.
The car looks really good, much better than that rattle can black that is was wearing at the last SA show. Now the car needs a nice clean engine swap to match the outside of the car and it would be perfect. Looking forward to seeing it at the next TX show that everyone will be at.
That is really nice John! nearly 4+ years in the waiting huh? Looks like it was definitely worth the wait. When are the new rims installed?
Thanks, it would have been sooo much easier, faster (and cheaper) to have just bought the GBCT instead of trying to re-create it
The paint shop destroyed my windshield molding, (instead of just masking it) so the windshield has to come out to replace it. Argh
After that, next week the old wheels will come off for installation of drop springs in front and coilovers in back. Next are Corvette 12" rotors on all 4 corners then the new wheels will go on.
After that I'll work on making the engine compartment look neat.
Beautiful color and excellent attention to details. I love when a person raises the "bar" when it comes to "tweaking" a Fiero.
I like the way Mr. J tweaked the front and rear bumpers using a "J fake" body lines on the side front bumper and on the rear bumper where all three pieces are normally mounted. Removing those outdated black plastic body markers brings #014 into the 21st century. The raised/moved back/fin-tips adds to the overall coolness/exotic flow of the chop'r. There are more but I'll let Mr. J talk, hehe.
