I'm just curious why there isn't more Notchie chops?
Is the general consenses that fastbacks look better chopped?
NO. Both style look good looking IMO. Personally I would jump at getting a chop'd notchback if the price was right? I think it's a combination of personal choice and what car you have at the time? Also "we" usually see "elongated" rear end clips from lamborghini and Ferarri. The only way to know is if you have a chop'd notchback and Fastback?
You might want to ask Archie on this because, he's driven both types. Un-informed people always mistake my fastback with a Lamborghini. I don't know what un-informed people would say if I had a chop'd notchback?

Yeah thats it! Only 14 made by Archie's shop. 2 made by Oville, and a red notchback by someone eles. There is a yellow one too. Don't know who made that one?
You can see more of these cars at the individual post's.

I agree as well, I beleive both look great! Just seems that most are fastbacks. I myself own a notchback but I really love the look of the fastback chopped. I just can't wait until some more people chop Notchbacks. Right now all we really got to go on is the stinger, purpel pavement eater and the custom red 84 notchy. As it stands I would love to chop mine, but I really don't have enough welding experience and unfortunetly archie is half a continent away. First thing is suicide doors then I will really look into a chop.
p.s. Madcurl- I'm sure you get this all the time but I just wanted to say on behalf of me and a friend from edmonton here, we think your car is very nicely built.

Is this possible?? A chop top Fiero Finale?? I notice the kit would have to be modified a little. Or would it look dumb and make it look weird??? Also if you do a photoshop, try to the the "vents" just be regular Gt side windows if you know what i mean. Also the "hathback" style like on Archie's site. Thx.

Would look sweet! I wonder who would do it first? Not many Finale/Fino owners to pick from.
Hey Archie, the guy with the gun metal gray Choptop....did he send anymore pics?
Have you ever actually seen one in person? Photos don't do them justice. I've gotten nothing but enthusiastically positive responses wherever I drive it.

Actually my car is a notchback...I converted it to a fastback just prior to having it chopped. I prefer the look of the fastback, and I prefer the look of the fastback chopped even more.
I've been thinking of painting my chopped top coupe white ever since I first saw the 1994 40th anniversary edition white Corvette (white body, white wheels). In fact I liked it so much I went out and bought a gallon of anniversary white paint in the late 90s, it’s still in my basement. I still haven’t locked a color in. As long as I stick with a classic color I don’t think I can go wrong. I have a two-tone idea that I’ve wanted to try for awhile, and no one’s done it yet, but it would look best on the aero style coupe, and right now I'm going with the 87/88 coupe look. I still like white cars with white wheels, but I think that unless you go with 19/20 wheels, it may look dated by now. Chopped GTs give an exotic look to Fieros, but I still like the chopped notchbacks better. Just wished I could decide on a color, get my butt in gear, and paint mine, grrrrr

Update: Jim's 88 also has a MOMO package inside. I wasn't a fan of it until I seen his interior. It's sweet! I may have to copy his idea on the Redux? Hmm.....?
I am dehydrating... What a bunch of beautiful Fieros! Man... you are making me want to get out my Sawzall and attack the SD4 '88 notchback I am working on... **Drool...**
few q's 1) who has the purple pavement eater now? i must say that one is my favorite style... 2) Archie, would you still do this? 3) DL10- do you have more pics of the white car in your sig? if so plz PM me. i really like it...

I like Notchies & Fastbacks & I don't know whick one looks better.
I thought you modified the clip to fix the "expanding foam" problem? It looks like it still a bit out of hand.
When I spoke with Warber at my first Fierorama show, that seemed to be the only regret on the car. He laughed at himself for using it, and said he would have done things differently the next time. Archie picked up where he left off quite nicely.

Hey chopper found some old pics. Some have not seen your car much. Those asking about chopped notchbacks,....here ya go !
I want to chop my notchie so bad now.... you have no idea, if only I had the money.... stupid college, stupid flight school. I am poor for the next 4 years.... Archie I hope you don't give up on these things before I am done. I can see in my future a chop.
Just to remind you that the offer I made to you a year or so ago to redo your 1/4 windows still stands.
Archie

Does anyone know where I can find these hood scoops? I've been struggling to find something just right for my Notchback and I think these are going to be it.
I will be putting these vents on my choptop also !
Speaking of which, i have to keep pinching myself, and looking at my piggybank, got my chop top funds all saved up and ready to go. Sometime this summer i will be the owner of a chop top !! .
