One thing though, on the last sentence there, I think you meant to say with less offset. More offset would actually put it into the coilover.

I have 1" clearance, so if I increase the rim width 1/2" (1/4" on each side) that still leaves 3/4" for more offset/wider tire. I just really like to keep things tucked in tight under the car )

OH, I hear what you are saying now Jim. I thought you meant you wanted to push it out more haha.
Thanks for clearing that up. That 295 would be some serious meat on a 9" rim. I only went 255/40 R19 with my rear tires, I was scared it would rub.

It is amazing how a chopped Fiero looks, it is undescribable
I hear you F355, I hear you. I just sit and look at choptop pictures ALL THE TIME. To me, nothing adds to a Fiero like the perfect set of wheels / tires, and a chop top. Those pretty much make a Fiero unique even amoung other Fieros.
Hmm...285's. Thats alot of beef on them rims. Any rear view pics? I'm guessing you'll be doing alot of burn-outs with those. Any difference in the "feel" and cornering?
I'm glad that Held now uses the 2-piece rotors w/hat.

Took a couple Saturday during a quick test run around the block - still in the camera. Chasing 1 brake line fitting seeper. Let's see - 450 ft lbs of torque with fat sticky tires - you wouldn't be trying to encourage tranny busting behavior now would you? Didn't really do any high G loads yet. I'll have it out this weekend for testing

Alright, sounds like...fun.
Get the g/f to take some pics while you're rollin bye babing it. We don't want you to break-loose the tires when Daytona is right around the corner.
I was looking for a good before and after of my chop top. But I must have been in a hurry unloading and loading it onto the trailer both times as I don't have any good shots. And it seems most of my pre-chop shots are of the passenger side and the post chops are driver's side.
This was the best I could do with the car in the same condition.
