Yeah put me in the "Work In Progress" category, but I got my inspiration from the others that came before me, like Curley, the GBCT, and most of Archie's 13 other Chop tops. Hopefully you all approve of what I'm trying to achieve:
Here is a Notchie We did for a guy in Rockford, IL back in 2001.
He was supposed to get the car paintet and all finished up but from what I hear he has run into a little trouble getting the car back from the painter. So I think the car is still sitting over there.
Originally posted by Archie: There also is a member on PFF called ChopTop who posts once in a while. This is what his car looked like in 1999 when it left our shop.
Wow, Archie, I didn't realize that you had chopped a couple of notchies...I always assumed that the Stinger was the first. That's what happens when you assume
what is the max height you can be? i'm 6'3 so i doubt i would fit with my stock seats, but i can take the rails off and mount the seats directly to the floor. anybody out there that's my height have a chop top?
Yep that's my chopped coupe. I doubt I've put 500 miles on the car since it was chopped 5 years ago, it just sits in the garage. Currently, it has all the body panels off of it. Originally I was going to go with a 85GT look, then decided to go with the 87/88 coupe look, then the Stinger came out and I thought shoot I can't do that now, grrrrrr. So I was going to go back to the 85GT look, but now I'm thinking of doing the coupe look again. But I've also thought about selling it and our other Fiero, a black t-top. My wife came and picked me up for lunch yesterday in our black t-top, I couldn't believe how good Fiero's can still look. Hopefully I'll get my butt in gear one of these days.

Thanks for putting up the pic of my car Curley ^_^ I'm currently saving cash to get my wheels and lower the thing. At that point it will be "finished" at least to anyone looking at it other than me >_<
I haven't had the time to touch it since I brought it back from Florida. Will hopefully have it complete for next years show season.

Don't forget that the first chop top was done by the late Rich Warber. The purple pavement eater was finished by Archie and others as a tribute to him. Let's not forget about him.
No disrespect intended but that might not be true. When FOCOA was around they ran an article on a chop top Fiero in the early 90s. That pic convinced me to chop my Fiero one day. I believe I still have the issue somewhere.

i'd love to see that, cause mine came from california and i have no idea who did it.

Did you find anymore info on this? I do know that Rich Warber's chop was in the FOCOA news letter at one time.
No I haven't looked yet. Sorry folks, I know I said I'd look for this back issue over a year ago when it was discussed before. I just keep forgetting. I will try to review my old FOCOA issues by this weekend. In fact I'll write myself a note. Generally, I'm pretty busy on the weekend and don't go online, by the time Monday rolls around I've forgotten.
