Raydar How do you like the Borbets? This is the first time I looked at this thread. I just ordered the same Borbets today. Mike
I like them. Although the offsets aren't ideal for an 88, the staggered widths help it to look okay. I got 17x7, 38 mm in the front, with 215/45s, and 17x8 with 35mm in the rear, with 235/45s. Ideally, the fronts should be 45-50mm offset, but I couldn't find any wheels that I really liked with those offsets, that also came in the 8" wide with 35mm. Same old story.
I'll try to get some pics this weekend. Gotta wash the car first. It's covered in enough dirt to plant potatoes.
Raydar I like the way yours looks. I would rather see wheels that stick out a little than tucked up underneath because when they stick out a little it gives it more of an aggressive look.
Alright so i love the look of the HP wheels that a lot of fiero owners have. My question is How much do they go for, were can you buy them, and do you have to do anything to make them fit?

You can even see them pictured on a red Fiero notchie.
If they say they'll fit, then you shouldn't have any problems. I did specify larger rear tires than they recommended.
Edit - Sorry... I didn't realize, right away, that HP was the brand you were referring to. Tirerack does have some ASAs that look similar, that will fit the Fiero.

am looking for some help on this subject , I purchased some Intrax lowering springs recently for my 86gt ( mistake or not its done ) I am interested in 18's for rims with 17's a close second . What I am looking to find out is what offset do I need @ those sizes so I can throw some 245/255 on the rears and 225's on the fronts . The rims I am leaning towards offer 18x7.5 with a 48 offset also a 18x8.5 38 offset , in the 17" sizes they only offer the 17x7 with 40 offset so most likely I would have to use 18s in the back no matter what.
If neither of those will work could someone give some sizes that might ? Intrax lowering springs drop the car 1.8 " if that helps aswell . If anyone is interested in these springs shoot me a pm
The HP Evos are a great choice for a Fiero in my opinion. I've had mine on the car for nearly a year now and they never fail to prompt a "WOW, those are great looking wheels" from everyone.
Agreed, they're a great looking wheel on a Fiero, but only work on 84-87 cars. I was considering them, but decided against them because the 8"x38mm offset is incompatible with the wider front track of the '88s. Getting wheels to fit right and look right on an '88 is a real challenge due to the staggered size/offset, though the greater clearances definitely help in support of larger setups. You need to have the stock data and get intimately familiar with offset calculations.
Fieroseverywhere - Way too much tire. Stay at a 50 series aspect ratio or lower on a 16" wheel, 45 or lower on 17", and 40 or lower on 18". A 60 series on a 16" wheel will make it look like a pickup truck. As for the wheels, go silver or go black, but nothing in between. Those just look perpetually dirty.
The centers are covered with Paul McKibben's decals. That took patience to do, since the centers are curved. But slowly working them from on the center out did the trick.
I have 17'' wheels with 11 spokes. I think they fit the fiero very well. that makes sense, cause if i didn't think that, i would not have bought them. look at my sig.
