Man, I totally forgot about this thread. I'm sure you all have seen the photos I posted of my new rear end, but I'll post 'em up in this thread to help keep it alive.

I suck at drawing/photoshopping, but here's a couple of ideas I was messing around with for a skyline-ish rear. This one is with the R32 taillights: This one is with the R34 taillights: Here's a crappy template for the GT rear:

This is a little idea I had, thanks Bernie for the template :P Pagani Zonda inspired, with a polished aluminum panel in the taillight area, the trunk removed of course. The exhaust would run high, leaving room on the bottom for dual tunnels with diffusers, allowing you to cover the bottom of the vehicle and seal the engine compartment, use side scoops to cool the engine compartment and rear vents to vent the air from the engine compartment, keeping the pressure in the engine bay away from the bottom of the vehicle. All this allows for better aerodynamics and high speed stability, making the car itself a wing, the air being evacuated from the bottom as fast as it can with the tunnels... plus it would look unique and sexy!

I love that car bro! FYI your Fiero is the Fiero I first fell in love with! I had dreams of going the lambo replica route until I saw this Fiero a few months back. Since then, I have found several that I like but yours I simply drool over. Infact, I showed my wife and daughter that video of your car at the track and told them that this is how I want our car to look and sound! Truly a work of art. I absolutely love that car! Nice work buddy. |
|
What Video? My Favorite too, but don't tell my car....shhh. If she finds out I won't be running 11's @ the track this spring.

Cant find it ATM. It is a video of him at a time track. Running that beastly black beauty he has. I was quite impressed with the sound. I do however think it was on another video site other than youtube but dont hold me to that.

There's another post on this car showing the side body mod work done. I cant seem to find it with the search engine. Can someone put the link up here please. BTW: I love look and along with my major engine mods I'm doing that rear look with a little twist and maybe the side build too.

It's a one off, so no kit. Considering he appears to be abandoning it's design and starting over, it may never be available like that. [This message has been edited by mptighe (edited 01-06-2011).]

He must to have been serious.... The build thread is closed "Car-2-Lo Senior Member Thanks, changes are good, the existing panels will be modified to suit. Sorry, you can NOT post a reply. This topic is closed"

Yes he is serious (as far as building it in it's current form) and inadvertenly i am afraid i am too blame. John and i exchange emails regularly and recently i had been sending him some real and amatuer supercar designs i had run across on the net, and several of them really struck his fancy and sent him into a creative frenzy. Something tells me if you like it now, you are really going to like what he rolls out next ! [This message has been edited by exoticse (edited 01-06-2011).]

VERY cool '84, probably the coolest I've ever seen - at least I'm led to believe it's an '84. The "Pegasus" in place of the "Pontiac" is brilliant; very original. | quote | Originally posted by exoticse:

If I were him and I had the talent, I would make those taillights a one-piece. The seem down the middle, in my opinion, takes away from how clean and precise the taillights look. I realize this is supposed to be a rear bumper thread, so in keeping with the topic, I love both of the custom rear bumpers shown. I'm really partial to the stock rear bumper, but the bumper on that gray GT is gorgeous.
